China warship dock Karachi port first time for supply

Dock hi to kiya hai yaar....Why people are so worked up.....?

May be they just wanted to have beer with their friends.

@Serious note- With India exploring near Vietnam, having joint exercises with Japan (dispute of Japan with China intensified ) and increasing ties with other SCS countries, is it really a surprise.

Its just a signatory move from China. If you involve in our backyard, we will do the same.

There is no point of technology. These ships won't fire anything. So no need for chest thumping.

Similar thing may again happen, may be from Indian side this time. Its just a game.

Funny some even go as far as to call PLAN an "inexperienced" force when they themselves are several decades behind PLAN in terms of nuclear submarine experience.

Some great Indian bravado here over what was a peaceful docking procedure in the Karachi Port.

First time after god knows how long of an all-weather relationship... I would have thought this would have happened 40 years ago...

You will see a lot more similar scenarios in the future, on top of all those friendly diplomatic meets we have had. Dating back 60 years or so.

To the deluded Indians who think they have Martian technology whilst their Generals know the reality well :azn:

Don’t have capability or intention to match China force for force: Navy chief

Admitting that India neither has the “capability nor the intention” to match China’s military strength, Chairman of Chiefs of Staff Committee and Navy chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta said here today that “common sense dictates” that India needs to cooperate with China rather than confront it.

“In military terms, both conventional and non-conventional, we neither have the capability nor the intention to match China, force for force. These are indeed sobering thoughts and therefore our strategy to deal with China would need to be in consonance with these realities,” Mehta said, delivering an address on National Security Challenges organized by the National Maritime Foundation.

That is called strategic thinking and a tactical response.... The Admiral is smart enough to show Indian Navy as weak and to Push for more and more funds towards building force.

Even Chinese Navy says that.. since they are also a responsible nation unlike a few other banana republic types who keep barging.

The Hindu : Opinion / Interview :

While usual cat and mouse game goes on in the IOR aswell as South China sea.

LAC is an unmarked boundary hence both sides are always crossing over each other's side... Indian media reports them since its a private media while there is no Private media in China to report them as such.

There have been a few incidents of Su30MKI flying deep enough in spying for air-defense missile systems in China... such things are not reported in public by State run media... in Indo-China case.

Doesn't change the fact that they are inexperienced.

IN operates Nuclear subs from 80s... and has experience in hostile waters unlike China who is yet to become aggressor in its own seas against US defenses.... is always at the receiving end.

I haven't heard the Chinese Admiral saying his country cant match India or neither has the capability to do so :azn: ... Why is it , only your admiral displaying his hopelessness ? Or as you call it strategic thinking

Another brain fart , huh ? When has China made any comment like that ? :azn:

‘China has no plan for Indian Ocean military bases’ So where does it say it cant compete with India or displays the " giving up " attitude that your navy admiral did ? :azn:

LAC is so unmarked that Chinese intrude at will , creep in slowly and the Indian forces are strongly advised not to open fire ... Try entering Aksai Chin and see what happens :D ... Indian media reports the PLA intrusion but cant do for its own ones :azn: Why ? The simple reason being that it doesn't happen , you do not have the balls to do that

Yeah , mostly rumors , right ? :P ... Keeps Indians happy !

Still does not take away the fact that India is behind China in nuclear submarine technology and experience. PLAN's fleet is also much larger than that of India's meaning we have, overall, more officers and personnels on active duty, furthering their experience.

Inexperienced , that too the PLAN ? :azn: ...

Exact copies of the statement is made by Parrots and Chinese admiral is not a Parrot.. Its not his fault that a dumb person in Pakistan doesn't understand the meaning and intention behind two similar statements.

Even the Chinese forces are told not to fire... however there are skirmishes and troops engage in cross fire at times.
India troops make regular incursion for recce and spying missions... same goes for Chinese.

Anything similar ? :azn: Sorry , there isn't any statement even remotely close to the hopelessness displayed by your leadership

 Another brain fart ? ... When have the Chinese ever hesitated to open fire at you ? I heard they have occupied a few more areas after '62 war too  ... Why doesn't the Indian media report the incursion of Indian troops , world's no 1 sensationalist media wont like this story if it ever happened ? :azn: Simple thing , it doesn't happen ...

Relative strength only matters in land warfare... while in navy its experience counts more... I don't want to go in detail as to how many ships out of those 972 are battle worthy and not for cost guard use... like wise same for those 172 ships of Indian Navy and compare the percentage of ships in each navy able to be counted as a naval warship... and not some coastal defense boat.

Ture however PLAN subs have hardly ventured off the coasts... thanks to the radiation related problems and safety issues... the newer subs might have better safety parameters and normal radiation levels.. but they are yet to Begin true strategic patrols threatening the enemy in neutral waters.

Active duty for coastal defenses doesn't equate to real wartime experience gained through generations of officers.
The in experiences show when the destroyer was forced to use its radars and ECM giving away the valuable data to the Indian Jet during peace time in neutral waters.. this doesn't happen even with Pakistan Navy.. they would rather make a radio contact and shoo the jet off or let it make a ceremonial fly past... and reporting it as an irresponsible act... saving the precious electronic data records which would matter during real time conflicts.

Read about the encounters between Soviet and NATO navies and airforces.. you'd understand whats the real time experience here... PLAN would too gain it.. but it would take some time to absorb it in its system to be a true blue water navy and not some coastal defense force.

No kid , it matters everywhere ... Of course you do not want to go into detail ... :azn: ... The PLAN outmatches IN any day ship by ship ... Even assuming that 50 % of the total mentioned ships are true warship , stll the IN stands no chance ...

Contrary to your claims it has been rather opposite.

The Chinese CCP govt. accepted Sikkim as a part of India 40 years after the war.... before that it considered it as captured territory as GOP considers Kashmir.
