What's new

China says Taiwan not a country, Taiwan says China needs reality check

Taiwanese are fully capable of defending their territory. All they need is solidarity and diplomatic support when the time comes!
That sounds even more stupid, how can you , a nobody , give diplomatic support to Taiwan ?

Am aware the ethnically chinese taiwanese are able to hold for couple of hours to a day max.

However that's not required as there wont be any shots fired. You see as mainland from which Taiwanese ancestors originated progresses it will eventually change their perception and be more inclined to unite.

They are essentially the same people only separated by ideology.

The game played by those tiny countries. Recognize Taiwan, then de-recognize it. Then re-recognize it.:D India ain't playing that game. We want trade with China.

Are you a moron? It's my country that will offer Taiwanese diplomatic help...India will soon recognise Taiwan as independent country...it's a part of Indians act east policy!

.
China has a seat in UNSC and Taiwan has to get around this barrier which is mission impossible. India keyboard warriors here are getting high but they can't change Indian government position on Taiwan issue so they just blow hot air to feel good here in PDF. pretty pathetic

So are south Asians....you ever think there is a possibility of Pakistan merging with India? see...the premise itself sounds so stupid!

Why not? Not like they have skirmishes on a regular basis. They are 100% identical
Only difference is in Governance system.

For Pakistan and India too can unite but you have different religion, many separate languages, that is a big hurdle but not impossible

Lol! I don't know what crazy stuff you are smoking...stop that right now!

Taiwan is what? Which country's name called Taiwan? Taiwan's name is Republic of China, if you don't know this fact, so you better do your homework first.

That's something that is negotiable. ROC was a country before PRC, that's a fact, yes.

I am not trolling, even i did not see the usage of the word ROC so frequently in media too. I think most of them call as Taiwan...May be i have to read the story behind ROC and Taiwan and then comment on this topic..

Indians always obsessed with Taiwan, i don't know why but this kind of obsessiveness isn't healthy in the long run. Taiwan does not care about India, it only cares about the well being of Mainland China. Look at how many Taiwanese tech companies invested in China  , they are making China great again (as Trump would say America First). For Taiwan it's China First.
They all come to mainland China to work after they graduate, no one goes to India

Taiwan Is Suffering From a Massive Brain Drain

No smart ***, you are the one who is obsessed with India. The OP mentioned nothing about India. He just posted the news and you go ape-shit shooting the messenger.
It just shows your butt-burn and nothing else. Only loosers bring India into it to deviate from the main topic.

Then I pity your naive and pessimistic outlook for the future. Asia's future, one that consolidates Asia as the dominant continent as it traditionally was, can only be made possible by its booming economies which have the momentum, and these include both India AND China.

And to be honest, if these Pakistani and Indian millenials in this video can have a decent friendly conversation with each other, then why shouldn't this be possible for every Pakistani and Indian?

So tell me my friend, how does this thread with its news article contibute to a topic that has already been discussed to death already? And posted by an Indian guy nonetheless who clearly has a bias for his own country over others (Nothing wrong with that). But like I said, what news does this thread add to the already prevalent cross straits discussion, other than invoking some cheap inflammatory reactions from some of our PDF members?

That must be HUGE news in India?

Something to pacify... Doklam a$$ kicking!!!!

so cute, the cheerleaders are talking about rear end servicing, you guys perfected that art, right from the Americans to the Chinese.

This is the official map of the ROC, as per ROC constitution, which includes South Tibet and Mongolia, as well as entire 9-dash line.

I just took it to end this Indian-level of a conversation. When you debate with them, run your intelligence at first gear, or, if you use a higher gear, they will not stop.

But, it is easier said than done. So, I am making a similar mistake.

Now, PRC and ROC are two political expressions of one China. Internationally, PRC is recognized as China. ROC is confined to the island of Taiwan and politically isolated. But, under constitution of the ROC, Taipei is only a temporary capital of ROC.

However, historically and practically, China is now represented by the PRC and the achievements of it make all of us proud.

We in Taiwan are waiting for a political solution under a specific model. But, we will never harm each other under any conditions. The political struggle was in the early 20th century.

Time is now to ensure and complete the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with all its components.

In a week, I will enjoy few days of stay in Qingdao. That's all I care now. Enjoy the Greater China, contribute to it, and make it the strongest country on the face of the planet.

Yup. I do know what Taiwanese think of Indians and if I post it, they will cry to the mods and get me banned.

There is thin line between optimism and delusion....thinking Indo pak can have better ties is optimism, thinking that a day will come when Pakistan merges with India is delusion.
Of course this is century of Asia...but sadly China is both the driver and roadblock for this dream.
On one hand it's economy is ray of hope for Asia...on other hand it's hegemonic military and over aggressive imperialistic foreign policy is the destroyer of the very hope!!
