Featured China Mars rover successfully landed

This thought process is exactly why Muslim world is in the dark ages, and America rules the world. There is nothing on the moon but rocks. Yet the space race catapulted America to the throne of the world. A lot of major technological breakthroughs(engines, computers, materials, communication etc) came out of the space program.

The guy is obviously an injun troll.

China has been high tech country since earliest days of human civilization. Look at these armor and weapons. On par with ancient Rome.

disney's Mulan wasn't as good as the Chinese movie, Mulan: Rise of a Warrior

No, after 40 years, NASA has been to every planet in the Solar System, and continues to lead the way in space exploration. When China achieves something of note in space, outside the shadow of NASA, let me know. Following others is easy, leading the way is hard.

Just look at SpaceX today. Another perfect example of American innovation and excellence. And now Chinese private space companies are coming out of the woodwork..........following.
So your logic is its okay for US to be following Soviets but not us? Exploring all the other planets is basically using the same technology as the moon orbiter and Mars orbiter. Its not complex science.

After decades of leading, US space tech us essentially static. How do you think we could catch up so fast. I would dare say our space station tech is even more advanced than yours, our AI assisted descent tech, our inter space comma. But you wouldn't believe me. Lol.

We will have reusable rockets and starlink type satellites, so? You can lead mate, we want to see all the mistakes you do and improve, it's not like a few years gap can make any difference, you had decades but still nothing much happened. We managed to close the gap of decades in a single launch, orbiting, landing and roving.
There is a latecomers advantage for China.

When they have Long March 9 in a few years they can deliver a large ascender to Mars to bring back soil sample. It will be similar to Chang'e 5.

. . .
It's insane how far China has come, congratulations.

Now the race is on to see which country will be first to bring back Mars soil sample. China has the head start with Chang'e 5 which returned the first moon sample since 1976. Long March 9 is what is needed to put a large enough ascender on Mars to get the soil sample back. Hopefully in 5 years time Long March 9 will be ready for launch.

@F-22Raptor @Hamartia Antidote continue to brag about how advanced US space tech is and how far China is lacking behind. First of all USSR and US entered a space race in the 60s, that's right 60s. Chinese space program only started in the 90s. The first time NASA put a rover on Mars was in 1997, the Pathfinder which was encapsulated inside balloons bouncing on the Red Planet that's how it landed. China's first attempt is launching 3 modules (orbiter, lander and rover) and we managed to land the 2 modules on the surface. In terms of mass and the technologies used to make that to happen are far more advanced than the Pathfinder mission. Also the budget for the Chinese Space Program is way lower than the Americans. Now what else did we achieve? Oh all our Moon missions were successful not like the Americans come crashing the Moon surface so often to get it right afterwards.
We have landed on the back side of the Moon which NASA never did and its a lot harder too. We also are the first to have a fully autonomous Moon sample mission safely returning back to Earth, you know autonomous rendevouz and docking having the samples inserted into the return module. These are very impressive technologies developed by China, never done by the US. And here they saying we are a follower? Even NASA scientists do not dare look down on China and these idiots think they have the right to do so? China no longer has to proof to the world that it is a space power, it already is. I cannot say that about India.

Ah yes the man is suddenly crying about trolling...spare us your fake crocodile tears..look who is in a SpaceX thread..and others.

Hey clown, you tagged me twice now to this thread which I didn't want to ruin.
You want to close your big baby mouth now?

I always say Americans can only succeed after many times of failure.

And we say China only follows the successful footsteps of others.

The Wright Brothers tested their plane design using different versions of kites..something China was well-known and skilled at..but apparently nobody in China wanted to risk failure by building a person-sized one for powered flight. So instead of the plane being a Chinese invention; two bicycle builders in the US got the credit.

BTW How was any of our rovers a failure?
As I recall your first rover, Yutu, failed to move on the moon due to an electronics freeze after only two weeks.
Our first rover drove for 95 days on Mars....

Back to the thread topic please.....

You won't be saying this when China brings soil sample back from Mars which America could not do. Tianwen-2 will be launched by Long March 9 super heavy lift rocket carrying a lander / ascender combo very similar to Chang'e 5.

As I recall your first 2013 moon rover failed after only two weeks.
Our little 1997 Mars rover drove for 95 days.

I never said your rovers failed, i said most US space programs have failed many times before succeeding. Even when you did achieve success US still have failures like the space shuttle Challenger and Colombia. Or how about the Moon landing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_landing , there's a complete list of how many times US failed.
At least a couple of SN rockets blew up before finally landing one without explosion.

Chinese space budget not so big as US, we don't like to throw away money with continuous failures. It is bad for the environment too wouldn't you say so? China will continue to develop its space programs and not seeing it as a race. You cannot deny that China has achieved so many things in a short period of time compared to NASA with a tiny budget too.

LOL.. The environment of Mars is not as terrible as Moon. Do Mars has situation of temperature dropping to -100plus degrees? It is no surprise, rovers on Mars has a more easy time than on Moon. If not, why India Vikram rover is designed to survive for a week only?
