Changing times: Ijtihad and other questions Muslims must revisit

Your response is not connected to my post in any way. Stop acting smart, and reply directly if you can, or save me the trouble from quoting me if you cannot reply logically or directly.

You fail to grasp the concept or the logic from my post and you want me to try again? Seriously????

Who cares? If men are fit for leading prayers, they can. If they aren't they can't. Stop retarding around discriminating our women!

LOL. It was still very tribal Arab society who just adopted Islam. It took hundreds of years of reform to establish fiqh and Islamic schools of thoughts.

So who should lead instead? Maulana Diesel? :D

bhai rehm ker hum pe ... pehle mujhe UK bula le phir is tarah ke mashware do

Not really. Hindus were NOT allowed to draft Pakistani constitution when Objectives Resolution was adopted without minority's approval.

LOL. He is insane :D

And whose fault is it that Muslims too are adopting Western technology? :D

its not fault but need of the time

I agree that there is none ... maybe because Islam emerge from Arab land which is always were men dominating society ..
I would say it is because Islam came with a set of rules to see if we will follow or create our own....and as we can see many prefer to create their own as it is easier than to obey someone :)

You probably do not understand the meaning of 'equal rights'. Pakistan, as all other countries, and Pakistanis, like citizens of all other countries, are free to draft the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as they wish. The constitution will be Islamic but it is Islam itself that provides equal rights to non-Muslims and equal opportunities as well. But does that mean a Hindu can become a judge of the Shariat court, you decide.
Acceptably so. You make a valid point.
But in this case, the people of Pakistan can not (or rather should not) make rights which contravene human rights.

An example of which I gave you - that in Pakistan it is illegal to leave Islam, a crime punishable by (upto) death and yet it is not illegal to convert from other religions. Essentially that a human can not choose his own religion.

Sahabas did ijtihad on the matters of Islam as they happened during their lifetime. There was no concept of Dhimmi during the time of prophet Muhammad (SAW) as all of Arabia converted to Islam and those who didn't were expelled out of the peninsula. Later with Islamic conquests as more and more non-Muslims came under Caliphate rule, these legal concepts were DEVELOPED with ijtihad for those who were not Muslims:
Dhimmi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Norway Pra hun inni waddi chawal tay na maro-

Being a small minority and without major representation in any of the houses, approval of Hindus for the constitution was not required. However, if there is anything that does not provide them equal opportunity or rights then that is against the spirit of Islam and should be amended accordingly.

P.S. the head of the state in Islam is always the Caliph, this is not about equal opportunity but about the representation of the majority's vote.

Theoretically true but once you have power this quote comes to play:

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely!

Furthermore, if you have a PM who doesnt even know or lets say understand the sentiments of 98% of the population.....what use is such a leader and how long will it take him to pull the wrong string?

Yes it will ...coz along with Jobs, education and peace we have what the world calls an Islamic culture...

From what we wear to what we eat
From how we respect the adults to how much to give a needy during Eid (more than one would wanna otherwise)

all and every step is governed by Islam so how can that religion be over looked?

1. For the first bolded part, the same reason, the 83% Hindu populated India, gives all rights to minorities or the 95% Christian populated USA gives all rights to all people. There was opposition when India declared itself a secular state or when the US Constitution made them secular. But during the course of years, it was the right decision taken, and it have helped in growth of all. Why? Even 95% Muslim Turkey is secular. See its achievemens.

2. 1300 years ago Islam took part in Sindh. And thousands of years before that a civilisation of animistic, hinduism, buddhism was taking place in present day Pakistan. So tomorrow, a culture may change or gravitate towards western culture, where womens like you will start dominating the culture of Pakistan. Why should a religion dictate what you should do and should not? (by stressing what one do, does not break the law).

so that mean even islam failed to put humans on track :undecided: ..
