Not only that. We should stop calling Mount Qomolangma, Mount Everest.

Though the Chinese marked the location of Mount Qomolangma. the world's highest peak, on their map more than 280 years ago, Westerners today continue to refer to the peak as Mount Everest, rather than Tibetans' Goddess Qomolangma, the peak's original name.

Look what @KingMamba93 wrote & then read your reply. After reading your reply people will assume that indians(Bhartees) love to be slave of Greeks then of Britishers.

The correct name for india is Bharat not india or hindustan.

Hindustan is although yes India is not

Indonesia was actually called "Dutch East Indies" under Dutch rule. Indonesia was chosen by Indonesians............

@KingMamba93 Pakistanis feel jealous that we retained the historical name India while there was nothing called Pakistan before 1947.

Isnt is surpirising how much time & energy we spend on non issues ?

A country is called by what its inhabitants are comfortable with. Why should it bother anyone else ?

Never mind the name, a nation ought to focus on itself - its values, its economy, the quality of life it gives toi its citizens etc.

So many states in India ( & Cities too ) changed their names, it was a cosmetic application . The unemployment remained the same, the civic issues remained - nothing changed.

Call these countries Mars, Venus - anything but change from within - thats whats it citizens need .

It was better they changed it, now Native Americans too shouldn't be referred as Indians.

I think Philippines should rename itself to Sulaymania.
That would be good, so we can remove any references to the colonization period. As for Apothecary, he is a lapdog of colonization.

Calm down. Sounds like you're on your period today. Anyway, why are you against the tradition Filipino culture, instead of that Spanish culture crap.

Says the guy who's a turncoat in heart. Tell me, what's your "real" nationality?
And what's with your deal with Colonization? Even china is "colonizing" some parts of Africa.

Do please quote me on when, where, I said or implied that i was against "tradition" fil culture. If you didn't know, there's some spanish culture in filipino culture. :gasp: Are you advocating the elimination of some aspect of our culture?
