CAS Mujahid Anwar: Whatever capabilities the IAF acquires, PAF will match it

@The Eagle

He has mentioned in one of his posts that CIWS are short range. At that point the brahmos takes evasive measures.

Short range means less time, right ? Is his statement even logical ?

1. Firstly Brahmos wouldn't even know that it has come closer to CIWS, so there is no time left for Brahmos to do anything.
2. Secondly, as soon as Brahmos comes within CIWS range, it will be shredded within seconds.

I cannot find that time interval between both above instances when Brahmos will take counter measures since according to him At that point the brahmos takes evasive measures.

What is this guy doing !
BrahMos Block 3 with vertical steep dive was actually introduced to make any attempts to intecept BrahMos with CIWS and SAMs futile.

Till date not a single CIWS has been designed (let alone deployed) which can intercept a missile diving 80+ degrees steep at almost mach 3 speed.
All CIWS in existence cannot hit a target faster than 1.6 mach that is in 60+ degree dive

Tell me then ... the ex-air chief BS Dhanoa (the air chief during the Feb 2019 conflict) ... was also present and spoke in the Festival ... was he too anti-Modi? Anti-India? or Pro-Pakistani? He was invited to the same gathering as was Mr. Sawhney. Shows Pravin Sawhney still holds enough acclaim and stature to be invited in such a gathering.
You should know that No government in Punjab (Congress or BJP) will take the step of not inviting a Punjabi 4 star officer.
Okay, man you win. He's Anti-Modi. Pro-Pak. He (was) an incompetent Officer, who for some reasons managed to clime to the ranks of a Major for his incompetence. His Magazine rode on the shoulders of two Reporters/Journalists in the past. And its now gone down the drain - and yet its still around. Must be the Congress Party funding.

Q. If that MilLit Festival invitations are by Gov. of Punjab, why invite Christine Fair - knowing full well she's Anti-Pakistan?
Christine Fair is actually very liberal in political views and is anti Trump and anti Modi and is like by liberal parties like Congress
She got her conections in India due to Congress govt

I will keep myself limited to reading! no offense taken.

Ok @The Eagle Moderator sb...i will also try to be regular 'reader' to maintain the high quality of PDF assuming that rest of the posts we see are really high quality stuff. ....

Yes, I understand and follow instructions.

She may be Anti-Trump & Modi, but its nothing compared to her hatred for Pakistan.

The woman practically hates everything.

As for her having connections with the Congress Party - do you have evidence to back up your claim, because you clearly seem to have an answer for everything.

If its a fact - so be it. But i'm not interested your '1001 Book of Answers'.

Nope. He was not 4 star officer when he was invited ... he had retired a few months earlier.

Did I ever say he was not retired at the time? Even after retirement a 4 star office ris the lead attraction.
Serving officers are very rarely invited to MilLit fest panels, so its obvious he retired.

Keep believing what you like. It's this sort of mindset that renders your armed forces less proficient than ours.

Sure.
I have clearly explained this dilemma in the very last para of post # 205.

As the ACM said that PAF will match whatever Capabilities acquired by IAF. He is the man that commanded PAF on 27th Feb whereby India deployed whatever she could to counter PAF and to sneak peak through sea lines. I am sure when a man of stature like ACM Mujahid Anwar Khan, is saying the probable capabilities of IAF; he ain't just making a statement. We did learn a lot and had much on record from 27th Feb. Secondly, there was a statement that JF-17 did really well against IAF Mirages etc which were definitely intercepting packages.

So the capabilities may have meant in regard to upcoming Rafale and its package which includes Meteor as well as Sepctra. If Thunder Block-II can do well on 27th Feb, there is definitely a counter measure in store to match the upcoming threat by its level. ACM don't need to say that merely for the sake of it and PL-15 alone is not the reference here in hypothetical scenario. We aren't sure about AEW/ECM etc capabilities or package for Thunder Block-III so also the strength of AESA in PAF. Unlike anyone here that says PL-15 is not the answer alone, has to consider that ACM didn't mention about single BVR but "Whatever Capabilities of IAF" which at most contains Rafale with its all goodies & the remaining upgradation of IAF fleet.

There is no denial of growing threat level & quality in IAF but on other hand; it depends upon how PAF deploys the counter measures so also matching the level with quality & overcoming the quantity.

You clearly don't have anything in the topic.

You clearly are lazy there is a lot on this topic all over the net and here don't bother … and stop wasting others time.

Since CIWS are solely intended for short range, i assume that they are best optimized for that specific purpose to counter at microseconds ?

That’s why Strategic forces are always called for to be in high numbers, we can take recent IRGC ballistic barrage as an example and the failure rate was 33% which is quite a huge figure ( (5 failed to hit / 15 launched ) *100 ).

Unless the REV is terminal hypersonic, all BMs can very much be countered. MIRV complicates the situation. In case of CMs, they are better than BMs, i still believe sub sonic throughout CMs are the best for Nuc...Strike since they stay low profile mostly to avoid getting tracked as well as their trajectory.

Brahmos is still a major threat budd.......imagine it coming in mass numbers in a concentrated attack, it will still pose a serious threat to the safety and security of our country.......Imagine these attacks on Lahore/Karachi, how many innocent people may still die if one of that missile still hits, considering them to be our major population centers.

Best way is to liquidate them even before they r launched or asymmetrically during peace time by completely destroying the indian ability to build them or have access to them on the first place(sabotage, clandestine operations or using non state actors)

Basically why not fully adopt the MOSSAD way?I dont think a 3rd class country like india can really match our prowess, experience and lethality in such kind of warfare at all!!!!!!!!!

Specially post operation swift retort scenario. Or just go there and bomb the shit out of those launch sites through our airforce even during peace time like how Israel does.

@Windjammer yr thoughts. U once yrself said that situation in South Asia is same as that of Israel vs Arab states, Pakistan is as powerful as Israel is viz a viz arabs and india is as weak as arabs are viz a viz Pakistan, so why not take advantage of that scenario fully in our favor?

how? pray tell!
read that post again, i have edited it.

We keep talking about India opting to use Brahmos, before PGMs. I doubt that’d the case in any short skirmish like Feb 26/27.

Indians attacking a hardened military installation of Pakistan with a supersonic cruise missile essentially means start of a full scale war, with use of all sorts of weapons from Pakistan. It’ll not remain a skirmish anymore. This is what happened post Feb 27th.

Brahmos is not a regular PGM and is far up on the escalation ladder. A response to it would be just as disproportionate. And hence just would mean all bets being off. Indians know that, all too well.
