Can We Really Consider Urdu as a National Language of Pakistan?

So, today I was reading the opinions of Pakistanis in another thread and I was surprised to know that only 8% of the Pakistani population speaks Urdu as their mother tongue. As we all know that Urdu is the national language of Pakistan. And there are many other languages that are spoken by higher percentage of people as their mother tongue. So why was Urdu even made the national language of Pakistan even when there were many alternatives left? Even the origin of Urdu is in India, the arch rival of Pakistan. For comparison, Hindi have a much larger percentage of people speaking it as mother tongue in India but still it is not the National language of the nation. Infact, in India, there is no national Language and have only official languages.

There is no pak in 18th century even before 1940 there is absolutely no pak.

Like invaders impose their religion on u outsiders(mohajirs) also impose their language on u.

Indian Subcontinent is consist of 8 countries India,Nepal,Bhutan,Burma,Srilanka,maldieves,pak and bd. Urdu was not even a proper language some mix of persian words in khari bori won't make a new language.

Urdu was born in mogal court.
mogal language was persian not urdu.
Script: Persian

btw i am not hating any language.
but fact is khari bori + Sanskrit = Hindi

khari bori + Persian =Urdu

Urdu is dying and Hindi is flourishing.BTW as a south Indian we never allow Hindi imposition in my state/s.Period.

So,Pakistani language urdu saviour is now Brothelwood. In south we have Telugu and Tamil movie industries they are as par with Brothelwood.Few persian words in songs for novelty wont make urdu movie.They are Hindi movie makers.Period

btw What is this paksitani obsession with brothelwood?? ... The most disgusting film industry in India. 50% may speak Hindi but that is only one national language out of 22 in India.

Good for you then. Language is part of their identity. Despite the imposition, do they really speak Urdu?
If yes, then your politicians are successful

I just corrected you, nobody imposed Hindi on other states in India, although they tried to do that with no success.

This is OFFICIAL version, you can see Hindi font too(Dev-nagari) for every brothelwood movie.

Discussion close.May be some muslims in pak/india making urdu movies but brothelwood is Officially and unofficially HINDI movie industry.
