Can anyone explain what happened in Karachi beach?

A lot of people fail to realise that the Arabian Sea transforms into an incredibly unstable, stormy mass of wave and foam during the monsoon, and that even the best swimmers are no match for its raging crests and troughs. Accidents like these happen in developing nations all the time, where morons like nothing better than to disobey any and all warnings.

I know, even in eid or any other celebration Our beaches also will be crowded, But if some one get in trouble, then immediately other get alerted and keep themselves away... Here normally the causality increases, when some one try to save the victim and also get drowned....
perhaps they all went there in numbers and went too far while swimming and didnt realize the intensity of the waves and situation....so couldnt save themselves!:(

Most people in Pakistan who go to the beaches don't know how to Swim.

The young ones try to show off by going into water at Chest level not fully realizing the power of receding waves and when they are pulled into the sea by receding waves they drown. If you notice most of these people who drown are between the ages of 12 to 35. The younger ones are too scared and the older ones know better.

Most drownings take place in Pakistan this way.

Knowing swimming is one thing, but swimming in sea is another thing......

Swimming in the Arabian sea during the monsoon is a whole other story

True..... I lived in Kerala for 30 years, out of which 4 years lived in an apartment which right opposite to beach.......

Really ?

I have had the pleasure of swimming in the open Sea and I never felt any difference.

I learnt how to swim at age 3 and have been swimming all my life.

imran bhai if 36 bodies have been found then at least number would be twice and that kind of tragedy cannot happen in natural circumstances it has some toxic angle im sure about it maybe scanning of all those who went to beach that day might solve the problem

this many people dont even die deu to high- very very high monsoon waves anywhere in the world

well amybe the level of toxic material was already there but athourities ignoared it

so many people can onli die if they are unable to save themselfs and that just might be deu to poisning or something maybe radiation also

:o: radiation?????? but then all people in contact of this waters would get sooner or later health consequences ...

wow... and i thought we mexicans were careless ....
indeed a tragedy and moreover on Eid :(
same ppl when go abroad, follow each and every rule there....here they find and take all rules as jokes....ignorants!

I learnt swimming at the age of 4 or 5....But found it difficult in sea (initally) I am sure you knows the difference between swimming in a rough sea and a pool....

As was usual on Sunday mornings, my brother and I were playing out on the patio when we heard someone screaming. I popped my head out to see what was going on, and there they were - two half naked bodies lying right on the promenade, swept up by the crazy waves. We learned later that the bodies were part of a family of 4 that went missing the previous night, and couldn't for the life of us understand why anybody would risk their lives by venturing close to the sea, despite multiple warnings from the BMC, the Met Department, and the local Police. The Arabian Sea is not the body of water you go to for a swim in between June and September period.

thats why i said that all those people who went there should be scanned for some common abnormallity it has that angle weather pakistanies beleave it or not sooner than later it will come owt

its very very painfull to see dozens of people dying just like that and athurities sleeping over it and blaming high tidal waves

people are not stupid to go in deep water when they see the strong current in ways we all have some inbuilt fear factor for it and if we see just one guy strugglling there is panik and people start getting owt of water and running back to dry land but here it looks opposite as people might have dellibaraetlli ignoared it

i remmeber once i was on a goa beach intoxicated by "fainny" a type of chashew liquor *(desi goanies kaju ki darru) and was lying on beach and it felt like that water was touching my feet but after few hours when i came back to senses my friends told i was drowning thanks to some passers by they saw me in time and im still alive

moral of the story that you onli dont ressist drowning when your intoxicated with some alchohal or poison
