There are families across borders who sometimes go to meet each other. The problem is if theres a rajshthani or tamil recruite in the region of sylhet he goes mad for the protection of land of cows. Therefore i think border bsf should be atleast from their local context not far away.
people inside the country are not interested in any other countries but the border people are different . In the border they still don't understand the border stuff properly, may be after two generations.
But that still doesn't justify medieval BSF killings as BDR is far noble than that. They actually follow international protocols.

If they have relatives on our side, they could go through the proper channels. Did the killings happen only yesterday, they were happening since 80's. That should be enough for anyone to stop trespassing. They were illegals who cross over with/for smuggled goods to make a quick buck. BDR should do its part in stopping their citizenry from crossing over to our border. I am sorry to say this, I also hate seeing people being killed but it is required for our National security.

BSF stabs 1, abducts 2 in Benapole

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) stabbed a Bangladeshi cattle trader and abducted two others from Putkhali frontier of Benapole early Saturday.


The injured was identified as Habib, son of Abul Morol of Putkhali village while the identities of the abductees could not be known immediately, reports our Benapole correspondent.

Why don't BDR start killing those smugglers? May be then BSF would look into it. If you find them on your side, please go ahead and kill them.

BSF did the right thing by using knife cause using bullet would have given idea to BDR who might have been covering these smugglers from BSF and pushing them in India for money as they usually do.

Bangladeshi frequently bring cattle into India to better settle down; as assets and do sell them if needed during their illegal stay in India.

Knife has done a good job otherwise they BDR could have started indiscriminate firing as the usually do to kill Indian women and kids and would have disseminated the propaganda news next day for overseas Bangladeshi to spam Pakistan defence forum that BSF did the firing again.
Unfortunately PDF is spammed again to tear for smugglers but i am happy that BSF saved tax payers money by not using costlier bullet but Knife instead.

GoI should conduct a thorough investigation and BSF should clarify how true this is. If true actions must be taken and the victims compensated.
