4 Bangladeshis shot by BSF

So shooting people like wild animals is right? Have you any sense of proportion or respect for life?

Give me another option.

Once they get here, neither are they willing to leave nor are the Bangladeshis willing to accept them. Shooting them is a very extremem option I admit, but the only other choice we have is to arrest them and send them to Bangladesh, which Bangladesh does not accept as they start claiming that they are our citizens and BS like that.

I dont know if you know this, but illegal Bangladeshis are becoming too many in India, almost every house (even in far away places) in Mumbai and Delhi has a Bangladeshi maid working in their house. We need to stop this, and are exercising the only (harsh) choice we have left...

And tell me if a islamic terrorist kill a hindu pandit, what will you say ?

I'd say that the Hindu was killed in cold blood, my sympathies would rest with the Hindu and his family. I am not influenced by faith, race or caste. I am above this childish system of making yourself seem distinct in your own eyes by cutting of from others.

While I don't agree with the frivolous tone adopted by the poster you quoted, you of all people should know that it isn't as black & white as you are making it out to be. A fence has been constructed using tax payers money (a lot of it for a poor country like India) and people insist on violating it. What is the solution? Were the BSF to admit that it won't shoot violators, the fence would pretty much be brought down the very next day. Fear is an effective deterrent. Remove that and there will soon be nothing left of that fence. People aren't deterred by fences, they are deterred by the fact that the fence will slow them down enough that the BSF may notice & bullets might follow. The very fact that so many people brave such extraordinary risks even now speaks volumes for their desperation. Countries can't allow unbridled morality to rule their policies. That's the sad truth.

You have a friendly government in Bangladesh, some diplomatic arm twisting will solve the problem.

Follow a more humane approach, electrify the fences or mine the border. The very thought of someone shooting a border jumper makes the issue turn into an episode of deliberated murder.

Are you sure about that? I mean will your statement will not change if it was in Kashmir ? And what about the killer of that hindu ? No condemnation ? Is he a muslim or a freedom fighter or a terrorist for you ?

Will you follow a more human path if he is a non muslim ? or you will follow Sharia ?

Nope, a civilian is not fair game in any conflict....

You are new here. Not every Pakistani (& certainly not this Pakistani) sees the world purely with religious blinkers. Kashmir is a different issue, it's more complicated than your poser. The issue on BD is more of economic migration with a very small terror factor thrown in. Not comparable.

I may be new here. But I was watching this site for last 3 years everyday. I knew the hypocrisy. The same good people will remain silent when the victim is a non muslim. I know it.

By the way all the issues have a common thing. Dont you think so ?

It's nobody's choice to kill people but your options are no different. You are still using fear as a deterrent. Whether people die by electrocution or by being blown up is no way different from being shot.

Mining borders can hardly be called humane.

The larger issue is that cross border smuggling takes place along all borders the world over - only the magnitude varies.

BSF on its part has learnt from experience that if arrested there is agood chance BD Govt says he's not our man. The BSF has not detention powers beyond a point.

The proximity of the IB to villages makes it well nigh impossible to track a man once he merges with the locals.

In any case the BSF is charged with ensuring the sanctity of the IB and is held accountable for violations.

The key lies in sensitising the BGB to do firstly its job and secondly in tandem with the BSF.

It is strange that while BSF detects those crossing BGB does not .

Lastly, those crossing are fully aware of what they are doing & implications of illegal crossing of an IB.

Better pay up then or don't cross the border illegally.

So if the indian border guards get paid for Goa Mata then it's ok to be sold for slaughter, otherwise it's holy Goa Mata.........so indians will sell everyting for a few takkkas..........india shining

Stop spamming the thread needlessly with religion.
On topic, Bangladeshi cow smugglers are surely at fault here but that doesn't justify BSF's action.

If a 65 year old mullah marry a child its ok for you. But if a hinu marry a muslim girl it is a crime. Realyy mullah shining. Religion of peace.
