The countries, adopting the Xiamen Declaration, agreed to strengthen cooperation against a range of terror groups.

A statement issued by the participants deplored "all terrorist attacks worldwide" and condemned terrorism "in all its forms and manifestations wherever committed and by whomsoever and stress that there can be no justification whatsoever for any act of terrorism".

Even if we see the entire Indian efforts in past 2 years or so, we wish to get terror organizations getting recognized for their agenda and role and subsequently getting them banned.
However as India has realized that unless China agrees to the whole point, technicality of procedure would never let that happen in UN. Every country realizes that we cannot other nation to bypass its own long term interests and support other nations plea or views on world forums. China is the last standing roadblock as far as India is concerned, on getting terror groups affecting it banned by UN and in this context accepting to incorporate a statement in joint deceleration is no small achievement for India.
I don't this as China ditching Pakistan or suddenly getting cozy with India but rather a balancing exercise in its foreign policy.

Though not a surprise for me . If u see the wiki page for visas for china , Pakistan is always in a group of 5 to 7 countries on whom china has maintained the maximum restrictions for getting any type of visa.
