Even a small amount of "fusile" material was enough so that's what fat Kim did.. I mean his scientists. They just validated ...Fusion give 50 kt/kg as compared to the 17 kt/kg of the plutonium.

And I'm sure that validation part has been done by Pakistan silently without making too much hype. Furthermore, advanced simulations and cold testing give 95% confidence level of whether the design will work or not.

So some one should create a new weapon that can negate any threat of nuclear weapon/missile. For example, laser drone, or something out of the box.

There are multiple ways in which this can play out. One scenario: Kim fires a nuclear missile and US BMD destroys it in mid air. Not unlikely because at this point US will be monitoring Kim with a gazillion microscopes. If US manages to destroy his BM, that will further establish the US aura of invincibility. They are sitting a world apart, and their continent is like a fort. Unfortunately, this will make Trump even more belligerent and lead him to make some very rash decisions.

For the sake of the rest of the world, one wishes that if it comes to trading blows, the North Koreans at least manage to bloody US nose.

The happiest case scenario is for US to tell Kim to mind his own business from now on. If he leaves SK and Japan alone, and carries out trade with the limited number of friends he has, US and allies will simply leave him alone. That may be the best outcome.

Repercussions will be very high.. especially for SK and Japan so I really don't think that's on the cards... Eventually they will come to table after taking some CBMs (relaxing sanctions)..BTW sanctions have failed... so those should be thrown in the nearest trash can as those are causing trouble only for NK'n people while didn't deter Kim from pursuing his goals and now with H-bomb in his hand and ICBMs in offing, the only sane solution is to talk. Kim is not making the mistakes of Saddam, Gaddafi, and others. The man has the acumen to look through the shallow deceptive layers of international laws, diplomatic linguistrix and acrobatics. He knows that the might is right in this jungle of humans.

If such US response happen, the North Korean will retaliate viciously and will nuke Japan and South Korea to ice age which are also closer targets. You cant just strike a Country with Nuclear weapons without thinking for the worst to come after.

Actually these details are not secret anymore. Furthermore the deployable device and experimental device are normally different. And what you are talking about is valid for the delivery system and not as such for the warhead itself. The chances of successfully delivering it to its destination depend on the type of vehicle, whether it has terminal guidance, what kind of countermeasures can it take to deceive the ABMs, speed and whether it is MIRVed. However over shorter distances like SK and Japan, even a "simpler IRBM" can be effective. But a direct ICBM strike to mainland USA is highly unlikely in near the future. Although we should not rule out SLBMs and that's nightmare for any planner.

2nd thing is to realise that it would be wrong to under estimate such people .... and start by coming out of fire and fury mindset as two can play at that game and than start looking for solutions...

Kimmy tests nukes or missiles, US-S.Korea/Japan carry out war games, add missile defense, new weapon purchases, and additional assets to the region.

The very reason the US-S.Korea/Japan do these things is because of Kimmy's actions. It's a never ending cycle.

Trump is the one who gets humiliated...
I guess another aircraft carrier is on the way to NK.

And the noose is ever tightening around his neck. It's getting harder and harder for Kimmy to please his core supporters who keep him in power. The more and more sanctions and plugs to loop holes in sanctions make it that much harder for him to please the base.

It'll be a loose powder keg, China and S. Korea will face the brunt of it.
