BREAKING: North Korea has Conducted a Nuclear Test

From your article:

An announcement on North Korean television said the country had successfully tested a “miniaturised hydrogen bomb”

"Yang Uk, a senior research fellow at the Korea Defence and Security Forum, said: “Given the scale it is hard to believe this is a real hydrogen bomb. They could have tested some middle stage kind (of device) between an A-bomb and H-bomb, but unless they come up with any clear evidence, it is difficult to trust their claim.”"

They might have been testing a component of the H-Bomb, either the preliminary or secondary stage.. Kim has was claiming that North Korea had the H-bomb since 2015 or a bit before.. now it is a full fledged H-Bomb..
I don't know what you make of a 6.3 degree earthquake on the Richter scale but it is very big.. Should be compared the H-bombs tests before..

Uk tested 700KT device in 1950's wasn't even a H-BOMB was a boosted fission device.... I think the same can be said about NK close to 100KT boosted fission.... It takes many tries to get H-bomb right..

Agree 100%, N.Korea poses no real threat at all to the U.S ,not by a wide margin. They are no match for the U S military. Everybody knows this(even Fat Kim himself).

The real issue here is the two most developed countries in Asia i.e Japan and S.Korea who are strong U.S allies. These two countries being neighbours with Pyongyang will be the ones to suffer in case of hostilities/war, since Fat Kim will throw everything he has against these two countries. This is the main problem for the U.S(even though some say it serves U.S interests, since it's brings S.korea and Japan even closer to the U.S and justifiable U.S massive Military presence in Asia Pacific region).
S.Korea and Japan are among the most advanced developed countries on earth (they have everything to lose in this case) while Now.Korea is a poor hungry large prison camp(as such they have nothing much to lose. Lol )
Therein lies the problem.
Funny how people keep calling him Fat Kim like Fat were his first name or it would render his nukes abortive.
This is fat:

They are doing it.. the 4th test and now the 6th test..
What was the size of the US 700t nuclear bomb?
And what about the two NK explosions corresponding to 2 simultaneous earthquakes?

Go easy on rhetoric, you little has been!! Just bend over and lick arse of Arabs.

It's not my fault that your little existence has been erased by semen and swords of Hairy, sweaty Arabs. Now look in direction of Indian flag, i.e, Moon and get going with your stupid ritual!!

What's your fascination with H bomb any ways... u know 90 % of deployed devices are boosted fission variety ... u really don't need H bombs unless u are planning mega tonne plus yields... pak tested 6 boosted fission designs in 1998... so what it's a H or boosted ... it has 100 KT yield... and no one tests bombs on full yield any more... even with today's test tunnel collapsed ... any more yield wud have blown a hole in earth

Reported... you have derailed the thread with your obsessive diarrhoea about Pakistan's nuke while the thread is about NK nuke test and its implications. I also encourage other Pakistani members on this thread (i.e. @django @CriticalThought @friendly_troll96 @maximuswarrior @PAKISTANFOREVER ) to do the same. Please admins take a notice of this and act as per rules.

The transition of fission to full thermonuclear capability, it should take no more than 6 years, this according to Dr Noor Muhammad Butt, a professor of nuclear physics at the uni of Birmingham UK and a man affiliated with PAEC, this was stated back in 1998, lol it's almost 20 years since then yet these bharati rascals have still got their knickers in a twist:lol:

Bro this false flagger @EpiiC will be exposed and banned as for the transition of fission to full thermonuclear capability, it should take no more than 6 years, this according to Dr Noor Muhammad Butt, a professor of nuclear physics at the uni of Birmingham UK and a man affiliated with PAEC, this was stated back in 1998, lol it's almost 20 years since then yet these bharati rascals have still got their knickers in a twist:lol:

Sir, NASR missile is an undeniable evidence that Pakistan possess a thermonuke as Nasr's warhead is a neutron bomb which is more advanced than H-bomb and USA made neutron bombs after making H-bombs. But more importantly the technique used in a neutron bomb is exactly what is required in a Hydrogen bomb.

But that's besides the point. Here we are talking about NK's nuke test and its implications while that troll totally derailed the discussion.

They have never stated something like this before.. So it is an H-bomb..
North Korean leader:
I ordered the testing of a hydrogen bomb designed to be placed on an intercontinental ballistic missile. The test was a complete success.

There is a fission boosted device (like India did) in between a 1950's atomic bomb and a pure hydrogen bomb with the highest yield. And that is one of the possibility. Western scientists will zero in on this within couple of months.

Lets not believe the man word for word. It could be a hydrogen device too. But just because the man says it is, I am skeptical.

Mate I am sceptical too, and if this 100kt is classed as hydrogen device then it will be the lowest yield hydrogen test ever?

No.

It depends upon the quantity of feedstock material packed within the device and the booster agent like Tritium if any. Something that is known only to Koreans.

I agree with you...
It can be either... but in either case it has great implications for the geopolitics of the world. Furthermore, since he seems to be totally undeterred, NK may test a few in coming months and it will be interesting to know the yields. Though if NK has really tested a TND then it may not do any further tests any time soon.

Kim's nukes should actually be taken quite seriously. I doubt he'd lie about his nukes, because that won't save his heenie in the face of an attack. Getting sanctioned for a non-existent bomb doesn't make sense.

If further tests are forthcoming (despite hydrogen bomb claim) means something is fishy.
True.
