BREAKING: North Korea has Conducted a Nuclear Test

@war&peace @Dazzler I have a question. The way Kim has shown every detail of his warhead to the world, is that a good idea? Because US scientists can now create detailed 3D models and perform analyses such as its trajectory, radar signature, effect of directed energy weapons upon it etc. To a large extent, they could perform this earlier as well. But the detailed model will solidify their calculations. Why put information into the enemy's hands?

Experts warned that the weapon, while shaped like a hydrogen bomb, could well have been a mock-up or decoy, one of the many steps the North takes to make it appear more powerful than it truly is.

Analysts noted that the device in the photo that the North released on Sunday — whether real or a mock-up — was shaped like a two-stage thermonuclear device. David Albright, president of the Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security, said he doubted the device was real

In one way, Kim and Trump look like best buddies. Kim makes a show, Trump makes a sale, Kim informs his nation, Trump tightens the screws, Kim makes a show... the cycle continues ad nauseum.

. . .
Guess which country exports more to North Korea after China, which is number one exporter to NK.
Who is number two after China?

.
As i said hydrogen bombs were made when sabres and mig 19 were battling it out...

Not a huge fking deal in 2017

Please read this below

It could be their initial assessment based on yield factor.
But its highly unlikely to determine with 100 percent certainty within 10 hours after test detonation of a nuclear device.
The situation was same for western scientists vis-a-vis Pokharan blast (India).

Same with Jet engine.
Why is a country like China & India still struggling?

Its not a time span, its complexity.

I can't comment on India... but China or any other country is not struggling with mig 19 or f 86 sabre engine...

Why limit China with Mig 19 & Sabre?
We know China has still not fully developed jet engine technology.
Any mass production?

conflicting claims will be made as you quoted that prof claiming it may not be real but the baseline is that a 120 kt device has been tested that jolted the surrounding earth at 5.8 on the Richter scale.. So whether it was boosted device or a h-bomb, can be determined later but one thing is clear that fat Kim has some devastating power in his hand and it is better to talk..

David Albright is renowned & respectable personality in this field.

Does not matter at all. Does it change the fact that a 120 kt device has been tested and seismic stations across the world recorded an earth quake of 5.8 on Richter scale?

Ditto with Pokhran blast.
Albeit the yield was different.
