This is why I always prefer Airbus when using Air Transportation, Boeing 737 have very bad reputation.

Innalillahi wainnalillahi rojiun. Jakarta was raining quite heavy some time ago and even right now is still raining. The weather condition may affect the lost of the plane.

. . . .
I had friends whom used to fly for Sriwijaya back in the days when they operated the B737-200 (originals).

The Classics (-300/ -400/ -500) were/are good aircrafts - to date. Very rugged. But if it were struck by lightning, then there aren't many chances of survival.

The passenger airplane supposed to be lightning proof.

Here is the location, at water near Lancang island. Quite close to Tidung island.

It is part of thousand islands which is still part of Jakarta. Muara Angke and Marina Ancol is North Jakarta.

One positive side, the location of accident is in shallow waters (20-25 meters).

Hopefully, it will help any survivor to survive. If..
