Please, don't generalize, There were people who don't belong to Syrian Christianity here also. The whole thing happened before Portuguese even had control in India and it was not against state also.. Even at that Catholics and Syrians are fighting for who is better crap? Syrians asked help from Portuguese for better foothold in India because Catholics have immense power at their hand . It was not against the state..

Both ,just like NSCN (IM)'s motto "Nagaland for Christ"

Apart from some blogs promoting it, I didnt see NSCN(IM)"s moto is that.. It you can give any link, it will be appreciated..

Most Christians are like that only unfortunately.

Quite a few of you do.

Most prominent among you is John Dayal. Not an ordinary man.

John Dayal (born 2 October 1948) is an Indian journalist and civil rights activist who supports minorities such as Christians and Dalits. He is a member of the National Integration Council (NIC) of India, Secretary-General of the All India Christian Council and a past president of the All India Catholic Union.

Look, he goes running to his PAPA complaining against India.

So has many people from other religions.. Some of them considers human rights more important than patriotism.. Even if that guy was an Hindu, he would be doing the same.. Why finding fault in his religion?

This incidents happened in early part of 1500 (just after Portuguese arrival) ,so this was not based on fight between x'ian group ...that bishop wanted portugese to help x;ians against local Hindus and Arab traders ...

Check South Asia terrorism portal ,its a creible source

Because except for a handful, all Christians in India think like him. Just look at PDF and see how many Christians got agitated on the news of Christian conversion, but were so happy all along with Hindu conversion. You behavior marks you out.

I do call out on Bengalis all the time. In fact more than Christians, Bengalis are bashed in all right wing forums. Like Christians Bengalis are anti-Hindu too. So I cannot accuse Hinduism for it when they are anti-Hindus.

Again, Hindus were much tolerant at that time and Xains got much support from the kings to establish their faith. From what I know it was a fight for footings in Kerala and Syrians were loosing their stand against Catholics. They were desperate for help.

Yea yea, your hatred makes you blind all the time. Show me where I agitated against Christian conversion? My opinion was simple, as long as they are better fed, I dont mind they convert to any religion. But I do oppose you making unnecessary comments blaming everything on Christians. It not our fault that your religion was busy fighting against each other and practicing all kind of ill practices.. So give it a rest.. Every religion had made mistakes.. Instead of blaming other religions why dont you try make your religion a better one.

@Marxist appreciate the link. I am wondering how they will try to go with Christianity and communism together.. It will be like chalk and cheese.

And they asked help from Catholic Portuguese !!!! ,thats flawed ...

It was your religion which was practicing lies and deception. You have a glorious history of slavery and imperialism. Also much of the caste system was also codified by Christians. My religion in fact gave refuge to you people and this is how you repay back.

Also playing the money game, huh? When billions of dollars pour in from Western countries and majority of Hindu temples are under Indian govt control, you talk about who has more money, let them win? What does that make you?

And they asked help from Catholic Portuguese !!!! ,thats flawed ...

He will lie and cheat and never see the bigotry in his eye.

Then why would they have helped Syrian Christians in the first place.. Syrian Christians and Catholics dont exactly share a warm relationship.

But you were also extremely happy with your money giving' Ghar wapas' dramas and getting agitated over missionary conversion..Even in your posts are full of anti Christian elements, calling your own Indian Christians as traitors, that too in a Pakistani forum is a highly appreciative marvelous thing. If you can be a anti Christian, why can't they?or Do you have any special rights here in India?

I already explained to you there was no money given. But as per your Christian ethics you hold on to that lie and will repeat it a million times. You can continue to be anti-Hindu, only more and more people will wake up and start acknowledging you for what you are.

the catholics syrian thing came after the udyamperor synod in 1599 ...That letter seeking help was sent on 1524
