These are actually not Hinduism but thousand years practice of living here. Without bigotry practices we adopted all. As our way of life isnt similar to Arab world. Like marrying one woman only thrown out dowry practices. Thrown out caste system and made all same. We have no sectarian practices in BD. And people are more proud themselves as they dont think animals are better than them....

If you're not marrying multiple women, not marrying your sister, not killing people of other sects and/or religions, then you are not practicing true Islam......your version of Islam has been 'corrupted' by the influence of the Hindus.....

Actually people converted because there is nothing in Hinduism. Some superior Hindus can feel proud of it but nothing for mass people. There is always a low perception on lower caste Hindus. Even we Muslims differ upper caste Hindus from lower castes.

I'm a little disappointed. Not so much at the results of the survey but with the discussion here. Guys, 75% said they didn't practice it in any way, shape or form!! That's despite questions like, does anyway in your family practice it? How can you not see the positive in that?

25% is much much higher figure than what is prevalent. People who have not gone out of their small little towns for their whole life may fall for this sort of tripe, but i have changed total of 16 schools. I have very fair idea about caste system. Untouchability is practically non-existent, i am not discounting possibility of it being practiced someplace somewhere, but 25% would mean that someone you know practice it.

As i stated earlier, a statement to which a particular member had autoimmune reaction, you could easily tailor surveys to fit your agenda. You just need to frame questions wisely and choose sample judiciously.

1.) No. The Sun never rises in the west... otherwise the Earth had to rotate in an other direction. When the 24 h daylight period starts in the Arctic circle, the sun still appears first from an eastern direction and when it ends, it sets in a western direction!
