Biggest caste survey: One in four Indians admit to practising untouchability

''Ummah'' syndrome+Wahhabi brainwashing.....This will always bound to happen if you put religion before,,blindly....Same thing was also happened to Kashmiri Pandits and Bangladeshi Hindus...
Anglo Indians includes British+Portuguese descendants...Say Goan Christians..Sizeable of them are of Portuguese+local konkani lineage...
i dont know of many native portugese speakers in Vizag,But descendants of british yeah i saw them in AP,rest must have migrated after Independence.

.
No,only speak....
I have a Kannada Hindu friend from Bidar(I think that area is very close to telegana)..He speaks fluent urdu..
Yes,Both Hindi and urdu are basically the very same thing..Only scripts are different and in urdu have lot of Persian and Arabic loan words....
Even though i can speak hindi which is similar to urdu, you cannot read or write urdu it looks like arabic.
According to Urdu institutes in india, Urdu is at the verge of extinction and MIM frequently cries for government to encourage urdu learning ,that was the reason TG cm gave urdu second official language designation to appease them.

err..They are not ethnic Portuguese or English speakers,Though some hyper actives speak English as their mother tongue, especially those staying in metro cities like Bangalore,Mumbai or some in Goa etc.....They are of mixed ancestry,ie Indian+British/Portuguese,,for eg..Actress Lara Dutta....They speak Malayalam as their mothertongue in Kerala and identified themselves as Malayalees...

I know...There was a script called ''Arabic Malayalam''...
Lakshadweep/Kerala Muslims used to write Malayalam in Arabic script until some 50 years ago....
And also Arwi(Arabic-Tamil) used by Tamil Muslims...

What i was saying was the portugese might have come to vizag after independence, generally anglo indians in sense meant british origin in context of AP.

largely dying...Some Madrassas of Kerala still uses that script along with some Malayali Muslim immigrant populations of Malaysia and Singapore..
There are mainly three spoken versions of Malayalam...
1.Kerala Malayalam(Standard version).
2.Jeseri(a dialect of old Malayalam+. Arabic),spoken by lakshadweep Muslims...
3.Mappila bashe/byari dialect(Malayalam+Tulu/Arabic),spoken by Mangalore Muslims.....
The last two versions are heavily Arabized/Persianized(just like Urdu) and not mutually intelligible /very hard with Kerala Malayalam speakers..Though they are fluent in standard Malayalam version,so its not a problem for them to communicate with us...

But the Anglo Indians of Malabar coast(Kerala,Karnataka, goa) were largely of Portuguese mixed....

Hmm, that is almost the same state here in AP.The urdu newspapers have closed shop and many are collapsing, it is only due to some patronage of MIM does the urdu newspaper publications survive.(MIM happens to own 2 or 3 urdu newspapers)

I seen Mallus but never Portugese mallus in AP.Karnataka could have portugese mixed since they share borders with Goa and Kerala, here in AP it was mostly British and a small portion of french in Kakinada called Yanam Province.
