BGB kills 2 Indians

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and India's Border Security Force (BSF) exchanged fire for half an hour near Govindapur Pathorkali frontier of Haripur upazila in Thakurganj district on Monday morning.
The BGB personnel shot dead two Indian nationals in the border area, identified as Farid Ahmed, 38, and Monir Hossain, 28.
The BSF took away the bodies after the firing stopped.
BGB Major Ahmed Hossain told bdnews24.com that the BGB and BSF held a flag meeting near Pillar No. 346 on the bank of the Kulik River around 3:50pm.
Quoting the locals, he said that a group of Indian smugglers opened fire on a BGB patrol team around 10am prompting the BGB men to retaliate. Two smugglers were killed in the gunfight.
Later around 10:30am, the BSF took position in the border area within Indian territory and fired at the BGB.
The firing stopped around 11am.

ঠাকুরগাঁও: ঠাকুরগাঁওয়ের হরিপুর উপজেলার চাঁপাসা সীমান্তে বর্ডার গার্ড বাংলাদেশের (বিজিবি
সদস্যদের গুলিতে ভারতীয় এক চোরাকারবারী নিহত হয়েছেন।
এ সময় চোরাকারবারীদের হামলায় বিজিবির নায়েক আনোয়ার হোসেন(৪০ আহত হয়েছেন।
সোমবার সকাল ১০টার দিকে চাঁপাসা সীমান্তে (পিলার নং ৩৪৬ এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
বিজিবির নায়েক আনোয়ার হোসেন বাংলানিউজকে জানান, চাঁপাসা সীমান্তে ৩৪৬নং পিলার এলাকায় সকালে বাংলাদেশ ও ভারতের ৪০ থেকে ৫০ জন চোরাকারবারী ভারত থেকে সার ও ফেনসিডিল আসছিল। এ সময় টহলরত বিজিবি তাদের চ্যালেঞ্জ করলে তাকে বেধড়ক মারপিট শুরু করে চোরাকারবারীরা। এ সময় তাকে অস্ত্রসহ ভারতের অভ্যন্তরে নিয়ে যাওয়ার চেষ্টা করা হয়।
এ অবস্থায় আত্মরক্ষায় টহলরত বিজিবি সদস্যরা ৪ রাউন্ড গুলি ছুড়লে ভারতীয় চোরাকারবারীদের একজন নিহত হন।

Guys look that one BDR member was brutally attacked and they tried to drag that guy inside indian territory as it happened before, bsf and the smugglers together beat BDR member after dragging inside india. When smugglers were shot to save BDR member life, bsf started firing from their side clearly meaning that only they can kill unarmed Bangladeshi but BDR can't... even there lives are at stake by indian terrorists. Also, notice that dead bodies have been taken by them whereas a dead Bangladeshi's body has no guarantee to get back.
Anyway, I hope BDR will continue this.
