Battle of Marathon 490 BCE

. . . . .
Regarding your mention of the 'Kushanis', the Kushans were not Iranian at all. They belonged to a blonde and red-haired people, great horsemen, who lived far out in the desert from Ferghana

the Kushans were close to Takharies and Khotanies and even hepthalites , all of them related to Scyhians which were blonde and red-haired people and great horsemen even the hepthalites.

.
Not all of them were blue eyed, blond, etc. That's probably a small minority. Probably the ones mixed with Tocharian, etc.

i'm not an expert but if the kushans belonged to the hindu-kush mountain region , I think they were simply indo-scythians

. . . . .
I thought it was only the scythians (saka) who raided neighboring territory?

They did, then another tribe, Yuezhi, who would become the Kushans took Scythian lands. And left them in Gujarat.

As you can see the Kushans took much of their land and left them in Gujarat, India.
