What's new

Battle of Marathon 490 BCE

The fact that Kushans were supposedly blond and red haired doesn't mean that they weren't Iranians.

i'm not an expert but if the kushans belonged to the hindu-kush mountain region , I think they were simply indo-scythians

I sudy alot about Scythians . many tribes were splited from Scythians during history ....Daha ,massagets later..Kushanid, hepthalites ,Khunits .... this is a very intersting part of history..........

Not all of them were blue eyed, blond, etc. That's probably a small minority. Probably the ones mixed with Tocharian, etc.

True .... later they mixed with native people. In Persian Sassanid sources we can see them that described as red or white or mixed but with same origins and language

.
I think the kushanis belonged to an era late in Scythian history were there were Turkic migrations towards west to scythia

Yup, that scares the daylights out of people propounding a particular theory.:)

I heard that. I HEARD THAT.

The fact that Kushans were supposedly blond and red haired doesn't mean that they weren't Iranians.

No, quite right, that doesn't.

I expected better of you, than to pick out the smallest, most trivial detail and dwell lovingly on that.

Please read up on that part of history.
