Salafists reject all mazhabs. They have their own scholars which tend to be more extreme than most Muslims. Also many of them make takfir on other Muslims. Salafists enjoy support in many Arab nations, but are weak in Pakistan.

Deobandis are Sunni Hanafi Muslims (many believe Sufism as well.) They are orthodox Muslims similar to many Muslims in other countries. A lot of their political thought is also similar to the shias of Iran. As far as I know, most of them support PTI because they also tend to be religious nationalists and fierce supporters of Kashmir, Palestine, etc.

Imran Khan is a religious nationalist strivinthg for social justice and appeals to people of all ethnicities, languages, religions in Pakistan.

Imran Khan is the least worst option for Pakistan...but that does not make him a religious leader, whatever that means...maybe he is a nationalist...should he win, let us see if he honourably repatriates refugees?

Yes Salafi or Deobandi ideology takes you to extremism but that is being exploited by Mullah if Deobandis are taught in the right way and those Mullah are restricted it can change.

These are most educated Pakistanis living in Western countries. Highly educated and well travelled. Most belong to upper middle class with roots in business and Public sectors.

The geographical spread makes it one of the more difficult seats to contest, and only eight candidates are in contention.

I don't know why such large area come under one constituency ? Is formation of constituency based on area or population?

That's what I said...thanks for clarification. I want all deobandis, Brelvis, Shia and non-Muslims to live peacefully in Pakistan but just take any statistics about these attacks and do a sectarian analysis and you will find who is the culprit. If we have to solve this issue on permanent basis, we need to find the root cause. As far as foreign funding is concerned yes it must be curtailed and should come through the govt ( you guys @BHarwana @Iqbal Ali , @Pan-Islamic-Pakistan ) need to think that why do they fund salafi and deobandi madrasssahs only...why not Brelvi Madrassahs? Because they know very well who will do what they want. Listen to Hilary Clinton.

So I'm not saying all are like that but I hope you got the point. I believe myself to belong to no-sect and treat everyone equally but when it comes stating the facts, I won't munch my words, not even a single bit. We are together in building Pakistan, however we need to remove unwanted elements regardless of the sect.
