Is Saree also a Hindu religious symbol, as well? Our women do not use Bindi, they use Tip.
Saree is very much an Indian thing. I don't see Pakistani Muslim women wearing saree that much as much as Bangladeshi women. Neither do they wear bindi like them. And neither do Indonesian and Malaysian Muslims. Indian Muslim women in our country wear shalwar-kameez/ burqa with niqab/ hijab. I have never seen them adopting Hindu culture like sarees and bindis in public. Bindi and tip are the same thing. Both are Hindu pagan symbols symbolising Hindu goddess Parvati. I think you should know that. So its kinda weird seeing Bangladeshi Muslim women adopting Hindu pagan customs so freely, when pagan symbols are explicitly mentioned as haram in Islam. They aren't very Islamic like their Indian and Pakistani counterparts. I would say Bangladeshi culture is pretty much Hindu and Islamic influence is negligible.

None of the female members in my family wear Saree and neither do they wear Bindi. They wear Shalwar Kameez. This is true for entire western part of Haryana. And that picture you gave shows saree only, I don't see any woman wearing shalwar-kameez. Irrespective of what you say, Saree is an Indian thing and part of Hindu culture.

I am just saying Bangladeshi culture is not much Islamic its very much a Hindu one. Heck even your script is Hindu script and 90% of your lexicon is of Sanskrit origin. So much for separating from India LOL

Both Saree and salwar kameez are south asian dress.Punjabi hindu,muslim,shikh women all wear salwar kamiz.There is nothing islamic with it.Different muslim country's people wear different dresses.before lacturing us you should boycott western style shirt,pants and wear middle eastern arab style cloak.Middle eastern beduine dress which we consider islamic is actually desert climate adapted attire which was wrongly attributed as 'islamic'.Although that dress was worn before islam and after islam by non muslims.Now a days both saree and salwar kameez are worn by both hindus and muslim across south asia.There is no religious demarcation here.

There is no excuse for Bangladeshi women wearing bindi which is a Hindu religious symbol appropriating it as fashion lol. Pagan symbols are haram in your Islam. Its not really that hard to understand is it? Heck anyone in our village would be freaked out if they saw a Hindu women suddenly wearing hijab/niqab/chador as fashion lol. Even Punjabi Hindu women don't wear sarees and bindis anymore, while Bangladeshi Muslim women don both. And like I said, even your Bengali script is Hindu script and 90% of its lexicon is Sanskrit.

Hindu republic of Bangladesh :lol:

Had a quick glance at your state on Google images. Nothing looks far from Hindu culture. I think you should stop talking now. We know how you begharat kaum come overseas completely uncultured, brand your whole personality to suit the local dave or garry. That's the truth, white mans pet.

We have more loanwords in our language that yours.

Another troll.....and another derailment.....reported.

@waz Bhai Thanks in advance.

Oh give me a break you bindi-wali Bangladeshi :lol:

You have to remember I don't speak that Bhaiyya language - "mein karta hoon" & "ye karta hoon", I speak a language which was constructed over a certain period of time by overseas scholars (jalalabadi nagri). I can 100 percent guarantee you are another Indian who calls himself Paul, works in a call centre and asks people if they're interested in broadband package deals. Chitter chatter, bobble wobble - these are behaviours of Bindians.

Yes you speak Bengali right? Okay be proud of it, no one's stopping you. But Bengali language isn't Islamic by any measure, neither by script nor lexicon. I don't know what your primary identity is- Muslim or Bangladeshi. I'll leave it there for you to ponder over

Well get it in your head then. 80% of Bangladeshis live in villages. Muslim village women do not use Bindi.

It is only limited to middle and high class Tagore loving Families who are Muslim only by name but not practising Muslims. What is your point? Haven't you seen Hindus who eat beef? My friends did.

Have posted about it a lot. Bengali language is a muslim language. You want to debate?
