The sub continent maybe, But as far as South Asia goes both Sri Lanka and the Maldives are top tourist destinations in the world, Especially from Europe East Asia and North America

Yes I do think Sri Lanka and Maldives both attract a lot of visitors, among which many are tourists. When we talk about tourism in particular, this very small nation of Maldives is very popular among Chinese diving fans and honeymoon couples. I think Bangladesh can consider developing tourism industry more, market is huge.

In Pakistan the number of 20,000 feet mountains and above is so much its unknown how many of them are actually there. Many of them are unknown and unnamed . We also have more 8000 metre mountains than any country in the world . 2500 feet would pass as a semi hill here .

Forget about 20k+ mountains we have thousands of mountains which are above 10K and we have many cities and valleys in those places. These all places are easily accessible via roads for example swat, chitral, kalaam, hunza, gilgit, skardu, muzaffarabad, muree, neelum valley, naraan, kaghaan. etc.

BD is a new country compared to Turkey or Egypt, they were once super power. Even human inhabitation is new.

Thailand did great for quite some time and got stuck for its wrong economic policy, that is what I always ask everybody to avert. Thailand has no future at least not for the next 20/30 years.
