At least we aren't on the list.
I've seen a lot of tourists in Pakistan. It's not even close.

dubai needed billions upon billions of dollars to build... its like saying all it needs to entice a girl is a diamond worth few million quid..BD does, if you've watched the video
there can be various locations for that like in dubai... where bikinis are allowed within the hotel area and alcohol is served on select locations.
btw you can buy alcohol in bangladesh if you know the place... basically all major towns in dhaka has em.
ahem... sri lanka
dude bikini and alcohol isnt everything... but yes infrastructure is poor. maybe setting up a system like dubai will help
thats where youre wrong.I dont think there is much to see in BD
one language with countless dialects that its hard for many to understand em all. diversity as in religion with their respective culture. i dont think its one dimensional at all and even if it is... not an excuse for tourist not visiting em.I think it is due to its homogenious nature. It doesnt have alot of geographical variety or have have cities that are worth visitng for longer times. It has one language , one culture kind of too one dimensional.
Btw this is not in pure numbers. Its least visited relative to its population.
I dont think you can call them mountains. They are about 2500-3000 feet high.
its lack of USP and the fact that bd is expensive to get into for western tourists(100 dollar visa fee plus 500+ flight)... you cant travel for a longer duration to make it worthwhile, as it is a small country.thats where youre wrong.

extemely right. well saidOne suggestion to attract more tourists:
BD must look east ward muslim countries (and tourist heavens like) Indonesia and Malaysia and implement/copy their mode of plan in attracting foreigners instead blabbering we failed because no beer and no bikini every-time
Look eastern muslim countries and stay away from pak and arab Muslim countries.
haha yeahI do not agree with alchohol and clothing comments.. there are dozens of muslim nations with much more tourists.
Poor marketing and tourism dept. Should be blamed.
Bangladesh has TIGERS and thats more than enough.
because of political instability. just like us.It seems like non smoking industry.. but this is the most screwd up industry..
Thai, egypt, turkey heavily depend on tourism and none of them doing any good.
Nonsenical report. Bangladesh had around 150000 tourists while pakistan had around 500000 in 2014 .
Point to be noted is that the major sources of tourists in pakistan were uk,usa and india. So unless whites are a common sight in pakistan , majority of so called tourists were pakistanis settled abroad Or Indians visiting family.
So no need to put the bangladeshis down

Which Muslim countries in the east? Malaysia and Indonesia? It is correct that the western tourists like to visit ASEAN countries because of their multiple culture, costumes, languages, foods, different lifestyles, multi-ethnicity, different religions as well as topographies, good amount of personal safety/security, and recreational sea beaches. Think of Bali Hindu culture in Indonesia or tribal dances in all countries including Burma. These are attractions. One suggestion to attract more tourists:

sri lanka is definitely not a middle income country but earns a lot of revenue from tourism. ps bangladeshi prostitutes? yuck!
Lack of tourism is Bangladesh is due to its near homogeneous topography, lack of places of religious importance, or massive architectural wonders. I do not think that Bangladesh would every get significant number of tourists because of these limitations.
India also get tourists only in Himalayan region ,Western Ghats and beaches, and pilgrim and architectural circuit. Places like Haryana which are devoid of geo these do not get many tourists.
