This is true. More cars are being sold now than ever. But the number of illegal cars that mostly are rotting now is a lot. Checkout the numbers of illegal/ not road worthy vehicles in bd

BD started independence from virtually zero in 1971. That is the only reason why it is at the low level of other S Asian states now.

The reason why 2030 is mentioned a lot is that is when BD military modernisation is due to finish. Incidentally it is also around the time when it's infrastructure is at a decent level and export diversification is complete as well.

Just recently BD's Walton signed a contract to export 3,500 TV sets into Germany. The German importer wants 100,000 sets in total. This is a mark of confidence in the quality of TVs that are designed and built in BD. Tell me apart from countries in E Asia, how many others from Asia export TVs into Germany? TVs are just a start as Walton will then move into exports of fridges and other electrical goods into the vast EU market - the largest in the world.

BD FDI is now touching 4 billion US dollars a year from hovering around the 1 billion US dollar mark just 10 years ago. Imagine what it will touch in 10 years down the line.

BD has some way to go but with a unitary country governed by the competent AL, it is growing at over 8% a year and we could easily see sustained 9% GDP growth next decade. The future is looking bright.

Vietnam ended the war and achieve national reunification in 1975. their situation is even worse than BD in 1971. but now their economic, military and international influence is far ahead of BD.

Bangladesh is a super developed rich country just posing to be poor. 99.999% of its economy is actually black economy. They do this by consuming everything through bribes etc....so the actual consumption statistics (like say Bangladesh per capita consuming energy today that Ind/Pak did in the 50s) are very very undercounted.

It is all a conspiracy against the great shonar republic to show anything illustrating how little they consume even compared to the region.
