I don't think Bangladesh should join one bloc or the other. The best route to you guys would be to maintain a balanced approach with India and China while moving to self reliance. BAF should go for European plus Chinese mix fighters and build for next 10 years.

Here India isn't the case . Main blocks are Chinese and Western blocks . And I think the world is changing and we can no longer remain neutral . Sooner or later we have to choose a block and it's inevitable.

But let's wait for the future , time will tell what we are going to do.

The good thing about Bangladesh is that it is doing good with China and West as well. Attract Chinese investment and also attract Western investment and it will be a healthy competition with Bangldesh getting the best out of it.

Well brother ,yes I also want it , I want my country become most beneficial from both side .

I actually said in many of my posts that , we will try our best to remain neutral , but if we must have to choose any block and if it's inevitable , then we must choose Chinese block, instead of western block.

As in the long run , western block will benefit India and India will remain as threat forever for us.

So yes we will remain neutral as long as condition allow us .

But if we have no other option but to take any side , then we will choose Chinese block instead of west.

What they need is to stop wasting money

Buy a large number of multi role JF17s block 3 capable of carrying anti ship missiles, BVrs, Area radar and use that as the base of their Airforce

Then pick a fighter they can afford like the gripen if they can swing it

USA supplied the Stingers. Weapons were supplied to a lot of groups around the world. After the weapons and funds are cut armed groups usually join the political process.

and Pakistan has to handle the entire responsibility of making thousands of fighters in a different country suddenly drop their weapons and become political players instead? that is what the americans expected. we should have learned our lesson that day itself and never let them into Afghanistan through our territory in 2001. maybe a day will come when Pakistan closes its territory to NATO while US forces are still in Afghanistan. would love to see all those thousands of US troops go back home in body bags the next day.

the world, including you Americans, dumped the whole responsibility on Pakistan. Pakistan wasnt arming the Taliban after they took over. Taliban was actually de-arming the population of Afghanistan, so there is no sense in selling weapons to them. no sense selling a chicken burger to a vegan.

the americans could have helped bring the taliban to the negotiating table after the soviets left. but no. the Americans are always "wham bam, thank you ma'am". then they blame Pakistan for having to get comfortable with Taliban being our neighbours and having good ties with them otherwise there will be bloodshed.

oh yeah? who controlled the Northern Alliance, especially after the Soviets left and till the 2001? it was Iran. they were supporting them in their fight against Taliban. Iran doesnt meddle in other countries and make money? then who controls the Iraqi shias?
