Awami League hijacked GCC election even before vote
Even before the Gazipur City (GCC) election, Awami League already hijacked the election by ABSOLUTE use of govt adminstration, law enforcement and money for its rigging plan. After having crushing rejection in 4 major cities, Awami League is utterly desperate to put up some deceptive face. But public opinion against Awami League specially after Motijheel gonocide could not be more evident. Hefajot which was victim of Awami League genocide became a major factor in all elections. Awami League following its traditional way of stage manage drama, now desperate to show Hefajot is with them. At the same time when Hefajot rejected such association Awami League police called Hefajot leaders and threatened them with consiquences.
Beyond Hefajot rejection, entire political and social spectrum of any significance went against Awami League for its brutal, corrupt and destructive rule. Jatiya party which was Awami League ally, Bikalpa Dhara, Kader Sidiqqi and other social religious organization throwing their support against Awami League. Things gone bad to such an extent for Awami League that Indian HC went to Jatiya Party chief Ershad to cooperate with Awami League. But that indian interfering effort did not stick this time.
Awami League desperation going to new height as there is clear indication that Awami League candidate will loose the election. To smooth out wholesale vote rigging, Awami League appointed govt officials hailed from gopalganj, Hasina's home district, for GCC election. Admin officials from ministry secretary to Islamic foundation DG who are all Awami League cadre been holding secret meetings with adminstartion officials and instructing how to act on Awami League rigging scheme. These officials also been threatened if they dont follow Awami League rigging instruction. Election Comission officials are powerless in face of Awami League threat.

In the midst of all these desperate hijacking acts Awami League is loosing the realization of one simple fact - Gazipur a small community is not a special Awami support base. When whole country resoundly rejected Awami League, showing fake support by hijacking the election will not prove Awami League popularity. Rather it will further prove Awami League instead of people mandate, are and will use gun power and adminstration to stay in power.
