Army rescues 22 LUMS students from Rattu

Or, better still heli drop them into Delhi en route to Lahore. Then, they'd have a "life lesson" on Two Nation Theory, Pak, Jinnah, Muslim Ordu, nukes etc...
Sir LUMS though situated in Cantonment area and being sponsored by retired Army high ranks and elites yet since past few years has become a center point of anti Islamic and anti Military activities. It is a big question mark for military itself and sponsors of the institution. Debate for betterment is good but not to defame own ideology.

"Army should be doing its own job".
It is and it did. Saving civilians in times of natural disasters and calamities is the job of every nation's military.
In Pakistan's case, given the Army's 40+ years experience in adverse weather, high altitude flying and soldiering, it is the best outfit EVEN if certain other civilian authorities have assets to help.

The Vice Chancellor LUMS, Dr. Arshad Ahmad appreciated the contribution of Syed Babar Ali towards education at the launch ceremony of the LUMS Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali School of Education (SOE) held on Monday, September 10, 2018, at the School’s premises. The event, hosted by Syed Babar Ali, founder and Pro Chancellor LUMS, was attended by his family including the grandchildren of Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali. Also present on the occasion were the Deans of LUMS Schools, Management Committee members, students, faculty, and key stakeholders of SOE including partners, donors and prominent people from the government and the education sector.

There are children of retired/military officers attending LUMS. It can have its socialist, leftist leanings and it is fine.

My humble opinion is that as a country, it is healthy to have some diversity of thoughts and ideas. Some critique has merit, some does not. But what we should not do is try to muzzle or shut down contrarian opinions. Why would we want to subject ourselves to group-think? Zia's overt Islamization did that to us. We need to stick to the middle of the road and that can only happen when you have opinions from both sides.

Just to clarify im in no way against the US help in regards to setting up an educational institute. But once its setup, there is no need for them to be calling shots in any way.If they do this they lose respect for the original good deed.

When you accept some sort of monetary or technical help then u are compelled to get dictation. In the past I have read some reports that US libraries/ and literary people have remained involved in research work on sects of Islam. The reasons are obvious for every one.

and these LUMS students will go back and conduct seminar on human rights abuses of Pak Army and how it lost all the wars and how unruly and rouge this Army is.

Will they? I take you've spent a lot of time with these LUMS students? Attended many such seminars?

Is there any proof that those three comments were left by students of LUMS. Students who are the official representatives of the thousands that attend that university?

So when it's their behind on the line, red lunacy takes a backseat while these snow-fakeies lug their tushi on a helicopter cushy, piloted by booted brat. no tantrums, no sanguine pangs no, flim flams no nothing, no sarforshi tamana, no haramid hoopla

You actually believe that the majority if not all of the students at LUMS are marxist? I'm sure you have that on good authority?

Or, better still heli drop them into Delhi en route to Lahore. Then, they'd have a "life lesson" on Two Nation Theory, Pak, Jinnah, Muslim Ordu, nukes etc...

Don't fall for these idiotic comments. Guarantee you that none of them actually know anything at all about how it is at that university.

Yeah, no. It was never "sponsored by retired Army high ranks and elites". Please stop producing moronic facts out of nothing.

yet since past few years has become a center point of anti Islamic and anti Military activities. It is a big question mark for military itself and sponsors of the institution.

Care to explain how?

No it wasn't. LUMS is the brain child of Babar Ali. The US aid was provided for the initial construction of a new LUMS campus. It was routed through the government of Pakistan. Quite few other universities received US aid during that time as well. LUMS had been operating for years before it received that aid.

Nobody calls the shots there except for the board. Babar Ali isn't even involved in the universities matters. You can actually go there today and ask to see the board, if you'd like.

Army should have left them to freeze to death. LUMs students and lectures are the worst of humanity

Are they really? Pray do tell us how and why.

Did the job, didn't it.
You can travel on a broken road also to reach your destination but there is a purpose to have motorways and carpeted roads!

Not sure the helicopter was supposed to offer 5 star hospitality, three course meal, hot towels and in-flight entertainment. It was on a rescue mission for God's sake.
I’m merely talking about broken/ torn ceiling .. try to read between the words for God’s sake
