Since you have worn Khaki, put yourself in the position of the young officer. Would you have thought it through that what you consider may become a propaganda tool or anything ? The chances are No.
The way the system functions is that at all levels commanders are sanguine that those above him will ' hold his hand' should the stuff hit the fan. That young man wouldn't have thought beyond two things - Get his command back safely & no damage to locals.
As regards Haryana, the Local Police is capable of rubbing it in like Police in our part of the world does when it choses to & it possibly did. The two situations have little in common.
Kashmiris are not second grade citizens. However, anyone who chooses to challenge the writ of the state at the instigation of their masters must do at his own peril & consequently feel the heat.
No, your concerns are fair .
Sure, with hindsight everything we do may have been done better. I am sure the reaction time the Officer had must have been little.
Our Military does not have the luxury of control that PA does . Neither does it have a Govt that actively discourages criticism of the Military on social media & other forum. It has therefore to work within the confines it has.
As I mentioned earlier I deliberately put year of birth wrong, I was court martialled in 1987 when I was 34 years old (1953 YOB).And as i pointed out in a previous thread , you would have to be 17 when the so called court marshaled you . do us all a favor and give up lying , no one here believes you!!!!
I believe more then 10 times I posted, Kindly care to check my old posts. How convenient !!!
Mind telling me where you were court marshaled ?
Yes than why u cry over it spy kalbushan deathIt was a bit extremely but, effective.
The pic might become iconic like after 50 years. Positive or negative.

I will not give my details since my relatives still live in India (and I don't want any more trouble because of my presence at Pakistani Defense forum, they already suffered a lot) and if you are so much concerned do some hard work with these details.Well the reason i ask where you were court marshaled was because i could then verify if that was true, you see my father served on the COAS staff during those years, also no Punjab regiment was stationed in Punjab during the Sikh militancy years.
Also its easy to prove if you were ever in the army , which batch of the NDA were you?
As to this "nonsense" you talk about , do you know the number of kids who come to this forum claiming they were army officers?
Same applies to you also, Now kid leave me alone.do you know the number of kids who come to this forum claiming they were army officers?
I am ashamed I served in Indian forces. You should be proud that you were court martialed!!!!!
Days are numbered, we will soon witness a big mess, be with me.Listen, no power in the world can snatch Kashmir from us, were you able to snatch khalistan from India? India has a powerful army, the hands are tied, otherwise we can bomb the shit out these tangos using bombs and LGB's dont you dare underestimate the powers Indian armed forces has.....we are quite, cause army respects the Constitution of India, not like some banana army who changes Constitution every month according to their needs....
A YO is exactly that,Since you have worn Khaki, put yourself in the position of the young officer. Would you have thought it through that what you consider may become a propaganda tool or anything ? The chances are No.

Now, if a pelter is made to sit on a tyre so be it. The pelter would be happy he didnt lose his life or limb.

In one breath some Indian posters boast how Kashmiri youth is defying "Terrorists" by applying to Indian jobs in another they appreciate such treatments to mere stone-pelters.
The Media blackouts, the reoccurring raids and curfews tell and different story however.
