Are we facing problem in integrating RAAD on JF-17 ?

Problem is with ground clearance. Raad has to be carried on center line hard point. Due to short height of JF-17, there is a risk JF-17 wont be able to fly with RAAD as missile will touch ground during takeoff.


While Mirage has sufficient ground clearance to takeoff with RAAD

I already pointed that these two Drag Carrier fuel tanks are killing for machine,and for your point i agree sir,Ground clearance is problem, either AWC will develop a new version able to fit on center-line or we have to go for over wing CFT's or Moving Land Gears in wings like NG.

I am in talk with a page of Indians on TEJAS mainly and they claim we are facing serious problems in integrating RAAD on JF-17. They say something to do with FCS ? Is it true ? Can any one explain ?

Kids, kids, kids. Stop fighting. Raad, Pakistan's truly indigenous ALCM, is compatible with both inner port and starboard station of JF17, the same place where you see the C802 installed, a weapon analogous with R'aad. R'aad has currently been integrated with Mirage, our deep strike fighter. The current roles of JF17 are the same as ROSE Mirages. I am sure the integration work has been completed, but there are many other considerations, none of this forum.

Raad has already been tested on F-16, and no its not a rocket science to integrate Raad on jf-17 Thunder, they have already tested it, but there are certain news that aren't available just now, PAF have to keep certain break through to themselves. You will probably see JF-17 Thunder flying with RAAD in couple of weeks or may be in 2 months Inshallah.

This is utter non-sense. R'aad program has nothing to do with F16. You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Raad does not fit in the CONOPS of F16, which is a CAS A/C. My comments of JF17 and R'aad already given.

Its obvious due to size of cruise missiles.Even integrating brahmos with a huge plane like su-30mki took this long.RAAD is shorter than brahmos but jf-17 too is much shorter than mki.Don't doubt it will be done,perhaps already done...but realistically speaking should take some time.Anyway once it is done you will see pics of jf-17 loaded with raad for sure in battle configuration.

Even if it is done, you will not see pictures of it till it is needed. PAFs secrecy is annoying for its fans but one has to grant that they know what they are doing most of the time.
