The one country that could be a buyer of the JF 17 and has funds---is in the lower half of africa. It is not zimbabwe and not nigeria either---.

Angola?

They have a decent number of antiquated fighters outside their modest Su-30 fleet. They also have the income to support a modernization. They also border the DRC and never know how that simmering conflict could affect them.

If the JF-17 could demonstrate operations from rough runways, its could differentiate itself as a modern day “bush war” CAS jet fighter, similar to the way the F-5 demonstrated.
