Do you ever wonder why most Communist or post-Communist countries like the PRC, Vietnam, Russia, etc breed the most selfish, unethical, greedy and materialistic people, the exact values that Communism claims to stand against? Because Communism is an unethical, hypocritical and dysfunctional system that robs people of their humanity and creates terrible human beings.

When Capitalism was in youth stage, it didn't seem civilized at all. Slavery, slaughter, conquest, robbery.

Communism also made mistakes in the groping stage. Which is inevitable. You don't know Communism. Don't comment on something you don't know.

Wasn't it the USA which asked Chiang kai shake to hold back on the final assault which would have decimated the CCP cadres?
In fact at one point the americans were thinking of assassinating Chaing kai shake.

US strategy has always been divide and conquer. It wants to see a partition of China between the CCP & KMT. Ally of China, either of KMT or CCP it was certainly not.

One of the greatest tragedies in modern history IMO is the KMT losing the Chinese civil war to the CCP. If the KMT had won, today China would be a democratic, wealthy and civilized nation with a high standard of living, protection for human rights, a well mannered and polite society like that in Japan and Taiwan, the world's largest economy and a long time ally of the United States. China would not be aggressively nationalist but will be secure and established as an industrial superpower and have a cosmopolitan society that would be welcoming to people from all over the world.

No mention of a collection of unequal treaties Chiang had signed giving the US the rights over Chinese ports, railways, complete rights over all air zone, extraterritorial judicial rights etc making China a virtual colony of the US? Now that would be the greatest tragedy of modern history.

US strategy has always been divide and conquer. It wants to see a partition of China between the CCP & KMT. Ally of China, either of KMT or CCP it was certainly not.

By the time the Japanese empire surrendered, the KMT began a plan to destroy the CCP, but the Americans saved the CCP by forcing the KMT to negotiate with the CCP. And the CCP has enough time to mature, by the time the CCP gets stronger, the US government begins to give arms aid to the KMT. The goal of the United States is for KMT and CCP to coexist, so that China will forever weaken and divide. That's how Americans shot themselves in the foot. CCP won

One of the greatest tragedies in modern history IMO is the KMT losing the Chinese civil war to the CCP.
