What's new

Allama Iqbal and current world created by Non Muslims

He was a leader, a poet, and a dreamer. And please do tell me in which sense you guys think he's overrated?
And the neighbor country India seeks the guidance from this great person. I don't know why people enjoy criticizing their own assets.
Either the op couldn't understand the depth of his poetry or do not know how he played the role in creation of Pakistan.
This is typical appeal to authority fallacy. I can only be sorry If you have been indoctrinated from youth not to question what you have been taught in the textbooks
yes he was deep, in confusion and cognitive dissonance,
Is your only defense of Iqbal is that he is considered a hero in state sanctioned History books?

As readers of both Iqbal and European literature know that Iqbal is a Europeanized scholar. Once we have accounted for the times in which he lived when nationalism was the bedrock of European thought. And that nationalism which is the toxic filth for a thinking mind of today was the essence of life in those times. Then we can overlook the extreme nationalism with which his poetry is lacerated and appreciate the poet who’s art, among his regional contemporaries, out-skilled the skillful and out-thought the thoughtful. In fact compared to the servile Indian weaklings he belong to a separate league altogether, the European league of prowess and elan.

For Allah sake, this is not the poetry of Iqbal. please give reference according to his books before posting about his poetry.

Sorry Lady, I didn't find any of theses in Iqbal's books, if u have these in Qulyat-e-Iqbal or any other please share.

The hallmark of a self proclaimed intellectual is that he will try to negate established icons with his limited vision instead of first trying to understand in totality what the idea is all about. Critical thinking is not the first step.
Allama Iqbals message is actually proven, how? Look around, Pakistan's very existence is the evidence of his greatness. How many dreamers in the world get what they dreamt of?
Established ? Maybe in the mind of overzealous Jingoists who cant see past the lies of their textbooks

Understanding Iqbal is not a child play and many fail to understand him and if you are one of them then i am not surprised. If we have deep roots in history, hadith and Islamic history, then we realized that he write all these events in just two sentences with exceptional beauty in it.
Typical appeal to authority fallacy, oh so mighty IQBAL cant be even comprehended by us heathens? and only by mard-e-momins of Iqbal which btw is a plagiarised Idea from Nietzsche's Ubermensch.

despite the difference or arguments we all do all the time... we as muslim nation needs to start praying no matter how hard it is.. or we will not be able to survive in history like others.
Allah humhain namaz qaim kernay ki taufeeq ata farmaye (ameen)

Iqbal never dreamed of Pakistan but indepedent states under indian republic in which each state has its rules and religion whereas republic india has no religion ajd muslims and hindus work under the republic.

Iqbal is nothing but charba (plagiarized version) of philosophical thoughts of Friedrich Nietzsche.

His glorification is an attempt by the Punjabi Establishment to portray as if Punjabis had a substantial role in the Pakistan Movement. A sialkotiya propped up and falsely equated with Quaid-e-Azam so satisfy the egos of the Punjabi mindset.

After reading so many negative words about Iqbal i m really feeling sorry for him as he shouldn't have guide this nation to freedom, and yes the liberals are free here in Islamic Republic of Pakistan to call their National Poet a Confused and Dissonance person. pathetic logic of pseudo liberals
