You bring up a good point. There should be a plan, which may take a generation or two, because it it took a couple of generations to get this bad, to slowly disarm the population through attrition.

It should be made illegal to allow anymore guns to be sold to the public in general. Only hunting rifles and handguns for self defense should be allowed to be sold, but Kalashnikov culture should be reversed over the next 30-40 years. Aren’t the Afghan Talibs disarming the public in their country, so it’s not an unknown tactic to rebelling Pashtuns, why can’t we do something similar.

If any “TTP” like group attacks the army, when the army counter attacks, all the means for the TTP to make war should be confiscated and handed over to the local garrison of the FC, which should get a larger fort built nearby subsequently to that area’s rebellion. The FC and Pakistan Army units in the area, where these forts are built, should also be given the means to maintain surveillance over the area with long range camera and be armed with long range rifles and machine guns. (K-8NG can be stationed at a nearby airbase for CAS should the miscreants look like they want to push the state again)

This will disincentive miscreants thinking that they and their kin folk (that side with them in attacking the state, and not the entire tribe) will not have to pay a price for their actions.
