let me try to explain it to you this way:

An apple tree can support 1000 apples. That is roughly 100 kg (that is a payload of 100 kg). But if you take a 100 kg stone and hang it from a branch that branch will break. Even if it is one of the stronger branches (like the fuselage of the tree) it will still break. You need to divide that 100 kg into smaller items and hang them from multiple branches.
