What's new

Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

TAI hasn't included it in it's weapons loadout, so, unless they state otherwise, it can not.

I know. But what im saying is aksungur has ability to carry som missile. It can carry if army wants. Just because tai didnt plan to use som doesnt mean aksungur cant.

Som missile weight: 580kg
Aksungur maximum payload:750 kg

You are wrong.

You can not simply put almost %90 payload capacity to one point.

my wish to carry DB-110 pod or a new AESA radar for 24 hrs surveillance , Aselsan can make it, it would be poor man's AWACS.

This would be very good addition to the capabilities of TSK.

I do not think that bigger vehicles such as Aksungur and Akinci will be limited to carrying only bombs. We can see them equipped with different EW and optical systems. Useful payload capacities will allow alternative equipments.

yeah thats why i said aksungur can carry under mainbody instead of wings

You will mess up aerodynamics, structural loads. And why do you need such a UAV for firing a SOM?

Its just a uav not a mach2 supersonic fighter I dont think aerodynamics are that important in uav. Also why would you fly a fighter when you can do same job with uav?

It will need purpose specific design. You need to strengthen fuselage to withstand deformation, you need to change the wings and you need to stick to SOM because you will no more be able to use the wing points.

Ayrıntılı anlatmaya ingilizcem yetmiyor galiba. Demek istediğim som fuzesini kırmısı ile işaretlediğim yere takabiliriz. İhanın kapasitesi buna elverişli.

Aksungur will probably carry weapons more like MK 81/82 bombs and other air to surface missiles.
