Afghan National Army fires into Pakistani territory, targets civilian vehic

LAHORE: According to immediate news available, earlier today the Afghan National Army fired into Pakistani territory which targeted a civilian vehicle resulting in loss of lives.

Military sources say that at 17:10 PST, Afghan National Army troops fired 3x 122 mm mortar rounds from atop post Kk which hit a civilian vehicle. As a result of this attack, 4 civilians including 2 children were killed. The attack took place 2 kilometres north of Niznarai in South Waziristan agency. Reportedly, the civilians were returning home after collecting firewood from a territory within the Pakistani region.

Pakistan has lodged a strong protest over this brutal act of terrorism with the Afghan government that resulted in civilian casualties.
