Abhinandan in 2010: Bad attitude should be the attribute of SU-30 Pilots

. . . . . . .
IAF doesn't discriminate between fighters. MiG21 gets the same respect as anything else. Once a fighter is put through gruelling paces, it's part of the family.

It's simply the role of the tools that change. And Varthamānam's Bison did its role.

NO, the reason is IAF can not keep up with Su-30 maintenance issue and 60-70% of their fleet is ground so their su-30 pilots have to fly in other planes to keep up with their hours.
MKIs availability is reported to be around 50%. Other fighters are even worse than this. But your speculation about the reason for Abhinandan flying MIG could be true.

Do you have any figures about availability of PAF fighter jets? I assume JF17 squadrons have high availability because of local production. But curious to see if F16s are better than the Russian fighters.

On 27th feb PAF managed to put almost a squadron F-16s to provide cover for strike package and immediately after that IAF tried to intrude Pak airspace in southern sector which were dealt with more F-16 which indicates higher availability rate in upper 90s.

The Bison’s role was to be shot down while wondering like a headless chicken in complete isolation from its own ground radar control crews?

what a role the IAF has charted for its pilots lol

western fighters like French and Americans have very high rates almost t 70%. the reason why even indai prefers them..

i assume jf17 will have very high rates given everything is local, the mirages everything is done in house albeit by using parts from the huge collection PAF bought

f7s are almost gone, I think there are just 3 squadrons left, they might go this year or next year..f16 saga basically not only meant we had to buy F7PGs in early 2000s but it also meant, we keep flying it rather than replacing them

I think the story behind Russian jets is to sell them cheap and than milk customers on overhauls and maintenance cost..the reason why they are very cheap to buy

he is an unlucky guy. caught in a situation on 27 feb when he had no situational awareness because of jamming by the PAF. shot down. got a bloody nose at the hands of local pakistani kashmiris. videos still all over the youtube. went back to his country. given a carrot and stick by his government and AF. carrot being the medal, continuation of job, post retirement benefits, honor of being treated as a hero all over the indian media and given credit for something which he has not done just to cover the incompetence of IAF and keeping the morale of their pilots and nations high. and the stick in his a*s that he will never be in front of a media despite being given a medal. he will never talk about it. he will have to lie in his squadron in front of his juniors for the sake of respect of his incompetent air force. and if at all he ever tries to reveal the truth he will be thrown out of the AF ,will be stripped of his medals and no post retirement benefits at all. and if pakistani authorities still have some of his videos and interviews which they havent publicized so far that must be a sword hanging on his head. if he ever talked in front of the media regarding his actions on 27 feb pak may release those interviews. so life is tough for him . lets see for how long he can put his conscience to sleep.
i predict one day he will commit suicide with some suicide note or a video on youtube before his death.
