A cultural discussion : Indo-Japanese historical relationship

@Nihonjin1051

This is great news for us in Pakistan. Can you please tell this to the Indian Tamil's. They are all swamping Pakistan heritage by claiming everything from Indus Basin/Pakistan and this might turn their attention on Japan.

After they start claming Samurai, Sushi, Suzuki as Tamil we might get a break .......

Brilliant job of derailing a thread Mr TT

We must understand that losing Indus valley is the greatest pain in heart for Hindu.

Just like if China losing yellow river and now, russia losing Kiev.
Sorry!
we have not lost anything!!!
The SSC traditions still continue through us and there 're many SSC sites which still remain on Indian side of the border for example Dholavira which is supposed to have been the Mecca of SSC sites.
Dholavira- The zenith of Harappan town planning!

No more off topics pls!!!

Gentleman ( or lady ) I have no idea who you are and this appears the first time we have crossed paths with you but I am more than slighly impressed in your ability to understand the subtle but important issue that is profound for me and my people even if half are not aware.

The 180 million people who live in Indus Basin ( Pakistan ) according to our neighbour have nothing to do with the land that bore them however apprently it has everything to do with a people who are distal to and strangers to the said Indus Basin/Pakistan.

Yes, your example of Yellow River or Nile river being claimed by Ethopians on the basis that modern Egyptians are Arabic speakers, Muslims and apparently do not wear Ancient Egyptian clothes or write in Heiroglyphics.

Brilliant job of derailing a thread Mr TT

Much obliged for the kind words ...
This must be the crime of century and first time it happened in PDF and Nihon will probably require treatment after this ..

The Aryan invasion theory which the honourable TT is pedalling is complete BS invented by the brists yo decide the Sub continent

Its best to hear both sides , and to appreciate the academic weight of all theories.

India is a huge country. Surely in all it's expanse can you guy's not find something that you can build Mother India legend? Do you really have to come to the tiny north west corner and sniff around either in Pakistan or in the shadow of Pakistan? Almost everything always ends falling in our land. Name it and it will end up in Pakistan.

As if your words are god's words??? :p:
Go and take a break and dont be so obsessed with Dravidans. You've a habit of inserting this word between every comma and period.
If you didnt realise you have deviated a thread in "china & far east" section", and all thanks to you this thread is now officially a Pak Vs "Dravidan" thread.
I'm requesting you to stop making off topic posts here, or tag us (the Indians!!) on a more appropriate thread. Its very embarrassing to add fuel to fire on a friend's thread.

Jamaicains speak English, eat similar food as English, broadly follow similar culture, dress like English are mostly Anglican Protestant and many even have English DNA through the slave trade however that does not make them English. They can't start making claim on Stonehenge or exploits of Sir William Raleigh or British Empire ...

Going by your measure in 5,000 years your measure would have them as British as the Royal Family ...

Ehty ... Very funny .....

@AugenBlick

Jamaicans use cross at their worship and many latin words in Church. Does that make them Greek/Amharic ?
Drawing false equivalencies is just stupid.
Many Hindus know their history upto 5000 yrs back. Thanks in part to the inhuman cast system.
I wish you all the luck with choosing the right religion and culture. But stop meddling in our history.

Sharma (2005) notes that the advent of the Aryans in India in the second millennium BCE has long be considered a pivotal event in the history of the subcontinent , a view now under contestation academically ( as well as politically by the Hindu Right). It has gone unnotied in this context that one of the earliest coherent critiques of this regnant paradigm was offered by an opponent of the Hindu Right, Dr. B.R Ambedkar. His views on the Aryan invasion and the emergence of the caste system in India --- is rather interesting.

Ambedkar summarizes the existing paradigm in the form of the following seven propositions:

1) The people who created the Vedic literature belonged to the Aryan race

2) This Aryan race came from outside India and invaded India

3) The natives of India were known as Dasas and Dasyus who were racially different from the Aryans

4) The Aryans were a Caucasoid Race.

5) The Dasas and Dasyus after they were conquered and enslaved were called Shudras

6) The Aryans cherished colour prejudice and formed the Chaturvarnya whereby they separated the white race from the black race such as the Dasas and Dasyus.

Just as long as you remember that Ambedkar was not an expert in this field & he was merely going by the then conventional wisdom as put forward by scholars.

On this aspect tho, it is hard to really say if the 'Aryas' were really of a different race. Perhaps this differentiation was cultivated for merely political reasons to maintain the ruling base.

It is the same as how some Sri Lankan Tamils and Sri Lankan Sinhalese discourse and even disparage each other on basis of their ethnic origin. But it is interesting to note that Sinhalese are actually, genetically speaking, similar to Bengalis as per Molecular Anthropology studies:

And thus the Tamil and Sinhalese are actually, kin. Ethnically and Racially speaking.
