Even if you are a UAE supporter, which you are you cannot discount the fact that such strong language is not required between brotherly states. This is how someone talks with enemies, not friends and also shows how entitled Arabs feel towards Pakistani goodwill when they could do far more for Pakistan. Just kicking out all Indians and Phillipinos and inviting only Pakistani workers will be enough to strenghthen remittances and Pakistani economy as a result. So living in Dubai you are going to tell Mr.Gargash how foreign policy works? Nice! I'm loving it.
Mate you need to understand that ultimately nations survive on economics, not uncalled for chest thumping or declarations of sovereignty.
And as far as economics go Pakistan has a comparative advantage versus GCC states when it comes to manpower and military might. We had the ability to capitalise on that and we didn't. It was a bad economic decision. We spend billions every year not on industry or infrastructure but on our military (for valid reasons), so it's completely logical to use it for generating revenues which otherwise would have come through the real economy.
That brings us to two points which seem to be repeated here:
- We are stretched right now: I agree, but the parliament didn't vote that let's join and re-strategize the timing of the proposed incursion, they voted for a public and outright refusal. Joining could have made conditional upon resources to strengthen the numbers or putting pressure on India to back off too which would have helped with the stretch.
- Broken promises from GCC: Not sure about the history but if its so, that just reflects poor dealmaking.
I think regardless of what people think (being neutral or siding with a side is better), we should all agree that UAE or the GCC siding with India is a bad turn of events for Pakistan. Discussions should also focus on how to rectify it.
What are you intoxicated on?
What part of Pakistan in its present state represents Madinah Munawara of today, forget 1400+ years ago?
Try talking sense man, for a change!
Hi,
@Khafee --- did you read this boy's post---
I am impressed with your input---. First it was @User who stated it in a 3 liner---and now it is you---who has simplified in a few words the crux of the issue---.
Indeed---our industry is military---that is what we have trained it to do---fight terrorism---with mega dollars---billions and billions of them---.
The americans sell their weapons---the indians sell their IT & computer guys---japanese sell their cars---and we cannot sell the resource and services that we have---ie---fighting terrorism---.
The issue that people are not understanding is---that it was our resource and the manner we took down the terrorists---step by a stair step---methodically with surety---.
That is what the GCC was looking for---not just an army that could go in and kill them all---but someone who could systematically remove the problem and then address the issues as well.
I really think that if I was in front of the TV camera---with this input from you and @User---and banged it it time after time into the minds of the public---we would have seen a different result.
The true failure was that there was not a single person with the right tactical information to project the cause of the GCC---.
And for that---I blame the GCC more than Pakistan---their arrogance got the better of them---.
The GCC needs to learn that if you want to send someone to die for you---you need to romance them a little better---cajole them---reward them---show them love and affection---let them know that you would be there for their loved ones left behind if you died for the cause---.
I personally would like to know---how many SHIA parliamentarians are in the pakistani national assembly---what is their proportion in relation to the overall population---and how they voted.
And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them, they say peace.

Also what Gargash said should have definitely been shot down by saner Emirati minds. I am not a UAE hater but I can see only one way for anti arab groups to decipher this. This is against respectful diplomatic norms.
Don't be blind because of where you are. Khafee. You are conservative I know but don't be an apologist towards a person who is wrong just to paint a positive picture of UAE foreign policy towards Pakistan.
No sir we are not committing any suicide,,,,,,, We did not joined U guys in Yemen , There are 100s solid reasons behind that, and as a military man u also may know many more then me.No, I hadn't read this guy's post, but he has a very valid point.
Unfortunately what the GCC assumed was that after decades of covert and overt support, Pakistan would have stood by them in their hour of need. But myopic thinking, resulted in what we see today, them shooting themselves in their foot.
One of the reasons that did come back to us was the "Shia sentiment" of the Pakistani public, well with TTP Mullah Mansoor, Kulbhushan Yadav, Baba Ladla, and Uzair Baloch, who does this excuse reflect badly upon?
If the Pakistanis want to commit suicide, you can't stop them, and surely neither can I.
You made a claim, but when challenged, you come up with this!
what the relationship is of Pakistani security agencies both civil and military, with the GCC and Iran. It couldn't
Lets look at Iranian Allies - Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen - What state are they in today? No sir we are not committing any suicide,,,,,,, We did not joined U guys in Yemen , There are 100s solid reasons behind that, and as a military man u also may know many more then me.
But what come in my mind is very dangerous reason , My guess is Pakistan already figure out what's coming IN USA , and what is coming for Iran with that, As I said in my previous post, I will say it again there are 90% chance of attack on Iran , and if that happen Pakistan will come under extreme pressure because of Refuges , May be just only because of that , may be for good will Pakistan did not come on front and participated in war (openly) .
Rest We have more advantages and benefits of good relation with GCC , (Still I have very strong reservations against GCC's Govts).
I am 100% sure no one in Pakistan want to become one of them . . . . . . . but still there are all sorts of people every where ............ And since 1979 well its better if I wont say much....... I will only say to ALL yes to All and every one just wait and see..........Lets look at Iranian Allies - Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen - What state are they in today?
Allah knows best -Thats a no brainer. Question is what did you do with the brain Allah gave you?I am 100% sure no one in Pakistan want to become one of them . . . . . . . but still there are all sorts of people every where ............ And since 1979 well its better if I wont say much....... I will only say to ALL yes to All and every one just wait and see..........
Note: I don't like mullas of Iran and there approach to Pakistan and Muslim world , But I will cry if any thing like Iraq happen to them........ I will say it again to all Iran people , please save your country , Just develop your country and try your best to avoid the war.........
Rest ALLAH Knows the Best............
I mean what is in future!!!!!!!!!!! and I really cant tell the true future!!!!!!Allah knows best -Thats a no brainer. Question is what did you do with the brain Allah gave you?
The future = the foundation you laid today.I mean what is in future!!!!!!!!!!! and I really cant tell the true future!!!!!!
To materialistic ,,,,,,,,,, Foundation can be shaken and can be turn ups and down by ALLAH . Can u remember the Foundation of First Muslim State? and What about foundation of Pakistan? Now look around you!!!!!!!!The future = the foundation you laid today.
This is the answer to the connection you made, made by someone who actually lives on this planet:And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them, they say peace.
You are right... Nothing of Pakistan today....resembles Madina...except one thing: its creation and the ideology behind its creation....
Pakistan today is not what..it was meant to be..or destined for... We have deviated from the path..hence we are facing Allah's wrath today..we have broken the promise/pledge tht we made, at the time of its creation.. Hopeully one day, we will strive for ...what it was meant to be..and become truly a model Islamic welfare state.....
