What's new

95% of all Hindu temples in Pakistan have been destroyed or converted since 1990

The ones with no active worshipers and no historic value, have been rightly converted to other users.
We have 100's of Mosque in Haryana only, In villages where no Muslims live at all but still they are not destroyed nor converted...Its not like Pakistan is out of land..

@Horus Nanakana Sahib along with few other Gurudwaras are being taken care off by Government of Pakistan. Apparently, for more than a year Renovation working is going on at Nankana Sahib There are Historic Gurudwara's, Temples and even Mosques which are dilapidated. They've all been neglected by Government of Pakistan. It's not even preserving the Old Mosques, so once can't expect them to preserve Temples or Gurudwaras. I can back what I am saying with Pics.

PS:I just read the post in which you've tagged me, do not know on what lines you are talking.

I was talking about smaller gurudwaras plus i never said demolish them. They simply would be used as mosques as architecture is almost the same.

I think there is a plan to turn Nankana Sahib into a Vatican like city.

Do note that it says 1990 instead of 1947 which would have made it understandable because many Hindus migrated from Pakistan to India during these (1947) years and thus many Hindu temples did not have any use left.

However since it is 1990 we cannot claim that to our defense. This proves the condition of Hindus has deteriorated in Pakistan after the year 1990. With forced conversions and false accusations of blasphemy we have driven much of our Hindu brothers away. Lets not forget that Joginder Nath Mandal a Hindu was equally responsible for the formation of Pakistan so lets look at this more critically. Looking at this critically and accepting our mistake is the first step to dealing with this menace otherwise we are just like indians shouting foul at suckularism or whatever.

Minorities always have a role of balancing the population and eliminating biases. Without minorities Pakistan might become a hyper religious state with no tolerance and respect for others. We must do everything to protect Pakistani Hindus and give them equal rights.

Last month, I was at Nankana Sahib, visited almost all the places of Sikhs Heritage + Gurudawars. Many Gurudwaras are already dilapidated and other Places already turned into School - Madrassas etc....:p: I clicked lot of pics, haven't shared them here yet, as posting pics have become cumbersome. :(

Eventually Nankana Sahib will become like the Vatican. It will be linked with Freeways linked with Pindi, Islamabad and Lahore International Airports. Train arrivals would take an express bus service from Lahore. They are also planning a Sikh University named after baba Guru Nanak, to streamline theology studies.

Mosques are not paid for by the govt. 90% are built by individuals or communities. I think you would've seen the mosque built by actor Sultan Rahi in Lahore..its hard to miss.

Mehkma Auqaaf is responsible for maintaining heritage buildings. They declared Nankana Sahib officially a 'Holy City' to get more funds for restoration work etc.

Don' be biased,,in our punjab similar fate has occured to mosques,,majority have simply been rebranded as gurudwaras.

All religions are primarily the same. They want monopoly.

I was in Nankana Sahib with my family in 2011. My family went there again in 2013. :enjoy:

That was just a pilgrimage,,i meant u don't seem to know the rebranding of gurudwaras into mosques and vice versa which is pretty much the standard on both sides of border depending on the dominant religion.

. . .
Then its pathetic.. You destroying and torturing your countrymen because a mosque is destroyed here in India??

Eye for an eye. Jinnah and Nehru had an understanding of protecting minorities and buildings in both countries. Nehru broke it from the exact same day Jinnah died by gifting us the dead bodies of 40,000 dead Muslims in Hyderabad during Hyderabad 'Police action' of 48. Then came the Babri, Gujarat and Dargah Hazrat Bal. Not kidding you hommie, hindutvas only understand the language of eye for an eye!

Bai, I'm not biased about it. I just mentioned what I experienced. I am naive about the Highlighted Part - Nelson Knowledge. Therefore, can't say anything. :( I ask/learn about Punjab's History from my Grand Parents. However, I am not a religious person, so never discussed on this line.

@Sidak
