I never said religion as the reason. Read my post carefully. I said foreign interference and weak government puppets.

I know you didn't say that. But I was giving you a reason why Pakistan isn't like Egypt. I wasn't arguing your point.

P.S. Egypt has had the biggest puppet leader in their country forever, & unfortunately, the alternatives for them aren't better either. Pakistan has a weak (puppet) government true, but the alternatives are much better than in Egypt's case. There is a threat to the fabric of Egypt's society, whereas there is no such threat to the fabric of Pakistani society.

Like Pakistanis, more than 90% Indians feel the country is going in the wrong direction. The Egyptians should never ever try and copy the Indian version of a sham democracy that the politicians are exploiting to the hilt and splitting it apart by vote bank politics!

oh please our politicians have destroyed us unlike yours its like they hate pakistan. our railways and ofcourse other damages you are aware of which i dont need to explain but we do have hope that the next government of imran khan will be alot better and might set us in a right direction i agree with him on only one part poor governance we need to shoot these guys like this

This article has some valid points about how Egypt should not let control and kidnap country's democracy. Fortunately or unfortunately Pakistan is suffering due to over active army. Just couldn't understand why Pakistani members making all the hue and cry.

With muslim brotherhood and salafis competing for power, an era of instability and slower pace of development is a real negative possibility, not to mention the potential flight of educated and "Westernized" elites from Egypt.

But i hope it turns out well in the end for Egyptian people. Transition period will be tricky.

You got two things wrong Muslim Brotherhood isn't the Salafi party, the Muslim Brotherhood party is the FJP the Salafi Party is the Al Nour, The FJP said it would need to ally itself with the Liberal Party and heck it would even accept Copts.

There was no need to spice up the article with the catchy, five reason how not to......
But I know the author wanted to grab ppl's eyes and buck in return.

Basically, the entire article boils down to one simple notion, Pakistan army's interventions in politics. Which the author disproves. Like I said, he didn't have to spice it up because a vast majority of Pakistan does not approve of it.

For the time being you will continue to see such lack of substance bearing articles. Both from national and international journalists. But after next year's general election, you'll notice the trend of publishing such pieces will dramatically go down. And mid-way through next govt tenure, they'll completely disappear.

But for the time being, these folks gotta make their living, so they will write and feed on what's current. I wouldnt get too hung up on these pieces. Future, and so distant one, is quiet different for Pakistan than what's written here.
