I used IISS Military Balance data which is more reliable than ur Wikipedia. There is no any T-80 in Egypt for sure and 6500 tanks is obviously absurd number. There's too much mistakes here, specially regarding Egyptian tanks quantity , here's the right numbers
- 1,000 Abrams M1A1 + 200 Abrams M1A2
- 1,800 upgraded M60A3 Patton
- 40 T-80 , bought from Russia in 1997.
- 1,300 T-62
-1,500 T-55 tanks + 500 upgraded Ramses II
- Total = about 6,500 tanks.
Equipment of the modern Egyptian Army - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

LOL. yalla, show us Egyptian T-80 photos.Dumazz, Wiki is a reference, not a source, the sources are at the end of the Wikipedia page, EGYPT DOES HAVE T-80's ,And M60A3's are 1800 tanks, has been upgraded to "mini Abrams configuration" i have the photos. IISS Military Balance is the wikipedia source that says Egypt has 1,300 T-62's., The M60A3 numbers (1800) are taken from IINS military balance files. The-T-52 numbers are also based on IISS - INSS data.
Dumazz, i said i have pics for the Egyptian upgrades to the M60A3 , as for the T-80's, i said they have about 40, doesn't really make a difference if it does exist or not, but anyway, they do have it, after the fall of the soviet union, lots of Russian stuff was sold around the world for a few cents.
Procurement: July 15, 2002
"Egypt also held meetings with the Russians on upgrading 200 of their Soviet-made T-62 tanks, to include fitting 120mm main guns to the Egyptian MBTs. Egypt last purchased 14 T-80 UK commander's tanks and 20 T-80U main battle tanks from the Russians in 1997"
