What's new

35,000 deaths, $68 Billion losses of Pakistan after 9/11 attacks

what it does not say in the article , which i read in the Asian age was that they approached the New York times and they refused to carry it .
also i wonder what is it they were trying to achieve with the Add ? sympathy or acceptance . going by the mood of the people in the US , they achieved neither.

Hindustani members, it is a reality that nothing will change your perception of Pakistan even when it is doing the best in the interest of the world for peace fighting the same WOT along US/NATO, You Hindustanis forget to bring in US as the main source of amrikan Jihadi teaching, funds, training, weapons & equipment right in the start of soviet-afghan War that continued till 1990.

Three pages of this thread yet you people bash Pakistan and conveniently forgive forgo and forget United States of America.

So if you are blaming Pakistan for everything during soviet-afghan war and this decade long WOT read this:
Don't forget to watch Hillary clinton's video.

This was bound to happen- when you suddenly turn an ally into an enemy sh1t happens- from our strategic interests mush suddenly decided to work for amrican interests in return of money and his 10 years of rule- Pakistan has suffered great loses of the decisions made by generals who were supposed to be brave- ayyub- yahya- musharraf-

we bread a mad dog and then decided to commit suicide by fighting it-

The most sensible post I have seen on the topic (and its an honest compliment.. Nothing between the lines) ...

and that is a good thing.
because tomorrow if pakistan finally smells coffee and stops being a puppet of USA...as in fighting this WOT on their terms....pakistan will have good excuse and proof that neither american govnent nor people were ever greatful to pakustan for her efforts.

Don't repeat like a talking parrot, you people have said this a zillion times, what I have told you people is don't forget to mention US while you are mentioning Pakistan Ok are we clear over here on this subject?

Unfortunately when you look at where US is today, clearly in despair the economy is ruined and so on.

this was a very clever move considering the timing and the paper.

Our condolences go out to the relatives of thousands of innocent Pakistanis killed by the terrorists inside Pakistan. Our nations have faced the wrath of terrorism first hand and know exactly what it feels to lose thousands of innocent lives to the inhumane acts of terror. We have fallen victims to the hatred and ideology of evil minded murderers fully focused on destroying our sovereignty. The regular attacks against our governments and the threat that lies upon our citizens has called for the war on terror and together we have made it a mission to defeat terrorism. The ongoing suicidal attacks inside Pakistan serve as a reminder that this is not a one sided war and Pakistan in particular is facing the wrath of terrorism more than any other country. The government of Pakistan needs to be vigilant against those aiming to destabilize the nation. We fully encourage Pakistan to root out the militants and any safe havens that are being used to target our places and interests. The recent capture of the Al-Qaeda leader Younis Al-Mauritini by the Pakistani authorities with assistance from the US was a great stride towards our common objective of dismantling and defeating terrorists. Though differences have arisen at times, the will to succeed against the enemy continues to overshadow all disagreements. We hope to continue our cooperation for the sake of keeping both nations safer and hope for a better future.
