35,000 deaths, $68 Billion losses of Pakistan after 9/11 attacks

In response to your argument....The USA is facing their karma with the Afghan Taliban. You are facing yours with the TTP (go ahead and deny that these proxy warriors of yours was never sanctioned by your State until you are blue in the face. Your soldiers and generals say something else on BBC documentaries). Oh and by the way, watch those little puppies you continue feeding in your delusional hope of taking Kashmir. Cute l'il puppies grow into big rabid dogs someday.

Our soldiers and generals said that TTP was created by US? I am denying it because it is a factual denial. That's how it is.

All you bharatis are using is rhetorical arguments that can't be connected to real world facts. rabid dogs, snakes, etc. Please try to connect it to how things are in the real world For your analogy to stand, Pakistan either would've had to support TTP or TTP would've had to come out of Afghan Taliban. Neither is the case. TTP came about independent of what Pakistan did.

please explain your analogy in terms of real events that happened. Show me how this is analogous to what happened or what Pakistan did.

US is not asking anyone to be grateful. They are spending their own tax payers money and using their own forces, without making much hue and cry about it.

Oh please, just look what Obama and Bush have said about the war in Afghanistan. America has made world a safer place, etc.

He is not talking bout any individual organization. TTP is smaller piece of Bigger picture. You created this meance.

Ever heard of "Mutation of Virus" Terrorism has mutated (TTP) and unable to control by old medicine..

Again, same response as to PlanetWarrior. Please explain your analogy fully. Mutation of the virus is the wrong analogy because TTP came into being not from the Afghan Taliban. In your analogy, TTP mutated from Afghan Taliban. Please quit the rhetoric and explain such useless analogies first. Explain your analogy in terms of real events that happened. Show me how this is analogous to what happened or what Pakistan did.

When you sow the seeds of cactus in your lawn, you can not control where all will it spread..
Its you with an overly simplistic and siloed view of the situation. Its not whether Pakistan create or support Taliban, or whether it was Afghan Taliban or Tehrike Taliban Pakistan. Its simply that Pakistan opted to use terrorism/militancy as an instrument of state policy on behest of USA to counter Soviets in Afg.. Now once you get the gennie out of the bottle, its kind of difficult to control it or put it back.. You only control the choice of opening the bottle or not.. Every thing after that is Gennie's choice.

In this case, Pakistan decided to open that bottle in 1980's.. What happened after that in one form or the other is simply the consequence of that action..

Again, I am afraid you're using rhetorical arguments against facts, as with all other bharatis, hence such a deluded and overly simplistic view. The basis for why TTP was created was not because of what Pakistan did before. Please explain your theory with facts

sowing the seeds of cactus in your lawn, letting genie out of the bottle... please explain this in terms of real events happened. Show me how this is analogous to what happened or what Pakistan did.

Also, to top off what AM said about Pakistan not creating Taliban. That really shows how overly simplistic you and other bharatis have a view of what happened when Taliban was created. Pakistan didn't create the Taliban and the only reason Pakistan supported them was because they already controlled Afghanistan and were quite powerful. Bharatis and Americans though have turned it into a conspiracy theory and how Pakistan deserves all these suicide bombings because of that.

The talibs in 80's were a joint bet by The Americans and the Pakistanis.

The Americans lost but still somewhat succeeded in that they at least managed to oust the Russians from Afghanistan and trigger USSR's demise.

The Pakistanis were destroyed, literally.

How's this the other 7 billion's problem, exactly?

Nothing more than a gamble went bad.

Look at it this way.

What if the Pakistanis would have been successfull in using their talib leverage over Afghans to this day?

What if the Pakistanis would have successfully managed to get Kashmir by prodding Jihadis?

What if the Pakistanis would have successfully dismembered Indian Punjab and formed Khalistan.

...all this could happen. It just didn't.

It was a gamble that went bad.

The Pakistani generals should have thought about this possibility before jumping in to be sandwiched between two supoerpowers.

It was their shortsightedness which is responsible for Pakistan's troubles today.

How the hell is this the rest of the 7 billion's problem?

Delusion and rhetoric continues. TTP was a gamble, you say?

Such widespread delusion among bharatis. Laughable.

What should one feel when you read this :
Pakistan has told Americans, marking the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, that despite paying a heavy price in blood and treasure, the Pakistanis are fighting militants for the safety of people across the world.

It made me remember the recent Anna Hazare phenomenon in India.

We the people of India, found a easy, god given answer to our society woe's. Mr.Hazare provided that much-sought after pill to address our short comings as a welfare state. We blamed our ill's on the absence of any ombudsmen bills. We, the people, were the Victims and Politicians were the offenders. Easy being a Victim. Blame the Parliament.

Pakistan, for its own good has to come out of this "Victimized" label that it has somehow created for itself. Does anyone really care? I really dont see it serving any purpose beyond that of providing you Financial Aid.

And now, we see , Pakistan and it's state strutting the same line... That of a Victim of a war that it participated in (or imposed on it, fine with me). But what next ? .... Play the Victim and wait till the aid runs out or Move ahead NOW?

Regards.

If my neighbour stinks and he goes for a bath to get rid of the stench will he be justified in asking me to buy the soap since the stench from his body is going to go away ?

Similar is the case of Pakistan expecting the world to thank it for destroying what was once its successful enterprise.

What Afghan adventures did we do? Was the US not a part of it? They did not wanted the USSR to have a presence in Afghanistan, and we did not wanted to have them next to us, the Yanks did not want a direct war, we did not have the military might. So, the Taliban was created to make a rogue face.

It was equally the fault of US as well.

Exactly.

It was a joint US-Pak venture.

The US is paying now through its own money and its own soldiers and I dont see it asking for the world's gratitude. Why is Pakistan alone doing this "world-owes-us-a-debt" charade ?

You created it, better you clean it.

.
Yesterday I opened a thread to remember all those who were fallen in the 9/11 attacks.
The response I got from Pakistani members was:

Jeez US should get over it.

So I shall say the same...

Khuda Ke liye .. Get over it...

Either point out what 'military base' OBL was living next to, our you are a liar, or uninformed ranter.

PMA @ Kakul where Mr.Kayani famously (& ironically) declared that the "Back of the terrorists has been broken" not knowing OBL was living with 750 yards of the dais.

This was bound to happen- when you suddenly turn an ally into an enemy sh1t happens- from our strategic interests mush suddenly decided to work for amrican interests in return of money and his 10 years of rule- Pakistan has suffered great loses of the decisions made by generals who were supposed to be brave- ayyub- yahya- musharraf-

we bread a mad dog and then decided to commit suicide by fighting it-

Do you know what would have happened if Mush dared to say no in front of the USA that was seethig with anger after 9/11 and wanted someone to vent their anger on ?

. . . .
you have to reap the benefits of what you sow, those who deny that Pakistan has brought this suffering onto itself are living some some sort of delusion. You created the tiger to bite someone else and when it bites you back dont expect the world to come helping.

I can understand the number of lives lost being 35K but from where did the figure of 68 billion come into picture?

Is there any proof or economic study that shows this number?

Our condolences go out to the relatives of thousands of innocent Pakistanis killed by the terrorists inside Pakistan. Our nations have faced the wrath of terrorism first hand and know exactly what it feels to lose thousands of innocent lives to the inhumane acts of terror. We have fallen victims to the hatred and ideology of evil minded murderers fully focused on destroying our sovereignty. The regular attacks against our governments and the threat that lies upon our citizens has called for the war on terror and together we have made it a mission to defeat terrorism. The ongoing suicidal attacks inside Pakistan serve as a reminder that this is not a one sided war and Pakistan in particular is facing the wrath of terrorism more than any other country. The government of Pakistan needs to be vigilant against those aiming to destabilize the nation. We fully encourage Pakistan to root out the militants and any safe havens that are being used to target our places and interests. The recent capture of the Al-Qaeda leader Younis Al-Mauritini by the Pakistani authorities with assistance from the US was a great stride towards our common objective of dismantling and defeating terrorists. Though differences have arisen at times, the will to succeed against the enemy continues to overshadow all disagreements. We hope to continue our cooperation for the sake of keeping both nations safer and hope for a better future.

MAJ Taylor,
DET, United States Central Command
U.S. Central Command

Major Taylor would like to thank you for your words of sympathy, may the takfiri be defeated soon.

But wasnt the Afghan war a US-Pak joint venture,,.... So why Blame them alone ?

And then again who promoted religious bigotry fuelled jihad in Kashmir ?

We do not need advice from our eternal enemy, our problem and we will solve it - God willing.
