25 top submarine fleets based on quality and quantity

@500 we might have to count one out from TNF. one of the Type 209/1200s have been decommissioned from active duty.

.
OK I converted both air defence and submarine to 1000 points each and then made an average. Here the results (air defence/submarine points):

1. USA - 1000 (1000/1000)
2. Russia - 323 (96/550)
3. China - 264 (178/350)

4. Japan - 131 (108/153)
5. UK - 89 (67/111)
6. S.Korea - 72 (83/61)
7. India - 70 (59/80)
8. France - 56 (37/75)
9. Italy - 53 (79/27)

10. Turkey - 54 (48/60)
11. Australia - 48 (60/36)
12. Canada - 48 (73/24)
13. Germany - 43 (56/30)
14. Spain - 42 (74/10)
15. Singapore - 38 (54/22)
16. Taiwan - 38 (65/11)
17. Greece - 33 (35/31)
18. Netherlands - 32 (40/24)
19. Norway - 25 (23/27)
20. Denmark - 22 (44/0)
21. Brazil - 21 (16/25)
22. Pakistan - 18 (15/22)

It does not include aircraft carriers (countries in bold) and SSBN, ASW, attack missile crafts..

Data is not updated since last year.

that's more of a relative to usa, standing of different navies.... rather than independent as you did in air forces.

Why does the Greek submarine fleet have 63 points? Three 209-110 subs (18 points) and four 209-1200 subs (including an AIP-equipped one, 28 points) as well as a class 214 sub (14 points). That makes for a total of 60 points. So Greece shares the same score as Germany and is in place 11 and 12. In the first six months of 2015 we'll have commissioned our second 214 submarine that is undergoing sea trials now. So expect that score to rose to 74, placing Greece on the 10th place, right behind Turkey. As long as no major submarine purchases from submarine fleets similar in power to the Greek one happen that would change that.

It is so unfair that India should score much higher, because its leased subs( despite being missiless - Ruskies don't want to lease them :hitwall: ) are proven times and again being amphibious and being able to take on a German containership!:woot: Think hard about that! Wouldn't those score more points in your system?

There are no leased "subs", IN has leased a Akula class submarine only. Rest are owned by India. The Akulas are hunter killer nuclear submarines, and equipped with 40+ torpedoes.

A complete list with all 39 submarine operators, including SSBN. There are two newcomers to 25 top which I missed: North Korea and Singapore. My bad. Pakistan got little upgrade for 2 MESMA installations.
