11,000 Sindhi, Sikh migrants in Indore to get citizenship

.
Great work I hope they won't come back or even try to come back to Pakistan and even if they wanted to their credibility has been compromised so I believe they won't be allowed to visit Pakistan. On the other note every single Pakistani is suffering from atrocities committed by so called suppressive elite class and facing it equally so no need for cry baby attitude. Rest regarding forceful conversion so it's never been the part of Islam no one is allowed to convert others forcefully and even someone is doing so for marriage is doing the same as some other A-hole is raping a girl but difference is the later one is not be able to legitimise his act by using cover of religion which actually is not allowed.

To being with, the Supreme Court of India doesn't agrees that Sikhs are Hindus. That is why Supreme Court of India has suggested the Changes to made in Constitution aka amendment in Article # 25.

Visit Google and learn about it.

Though, I wasn't debating here in Religious Terms, but only in context to Pesudo Secularism. However, some people see everything from lenses of Religion.

If you can prove your claims than we have something to talk about. Otherwise its is just a desprateattempt to sound "different". Its like every other Hindi movie producer who claim to be "different", while producing the same crap over and over again.

I am talking about the fundamental principles of Sikhism which is lifted directly out of Hinduism. The same way its done in Buddhism.

The Only similarity I see with islam is your attempts to politicize religion.

You are free to believe you are alien's from Mars too. That is your problem. you become a laughing stock only when you share that opinion with others. There is no shoving down except an expose of your ridiculous claims. Feel free to correct me with facts, not foolish opinions.

Sikhism formed in a location were Hinduism and islam were very dominant, so its not a surprise that Sikhism, islam and Hinduism have things in comman.

Ok now to move the discussion along.

Sikhism has the concept of 5k’s which are very important to the sikh faith, islam has the concept of the 5 pillars.

Both Sikhism and islam believe in one supream god.

If you look at the mool mantar it described god,

‘There exists but one God, who is called The True, The Creator, Free from fear and hate, Immortal, Not begotten, Self-Existent, Great and Compassionate.’

Now compare this to the Islamic decription of god,

"He is the One and only GOD. "The Absolute true GOD. "Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten. "None equals Him." (surah 112)
Also other text from the guru granth sahib has shown similarities with islam.
"In times of trouble, God is remembered by all
But none remembers Him during peace and happiness.
If God is remembered in good times of happiness
Why should trouble occur?" (guru granth sahib)
Now compare this with islam,

"When some trouble toucheth man,
He crieth unto his Lord,
Turning to Him in repentance:
But when He bestoweth
A favour upon him
As from Himself,
(Man) doth forget what he cried
And prayed for before,
And he doth set up
Rivals unto Allah."
[Al-Qur’an 39:8]

Islam mentions the concept of god being on his throne,
‘and His Throne (god) was over the waters - that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct...’ (surah 11:7)
Sikhism also has a simlar concept mentioned in the guru granth sahib,
The Lord Himself sits upon His Throne and administers justice. He beats and drives out the false-hearted. (guru granth sahib p89)

Islam has many names for god, many of those names are shared with Sikhism, one of them even includes ‘allah’

He is Allah, the Unknowable, the Inaccessible, All-powerful and Merciful Creator. (guru granth sahib p64)

Both Sikhism and islam strongly condem idol worshiping.

There are many other aspects of similarities that I could go into which need more time and detail to go into and understand. Apart from all those mentioned both religions believe in good conduct, treating everyone with respect, being kind hearted, doing good deeds.

The Tribune, Chandigarh, India - Nation

Jains, Sikhs part of broader Hindu religion, says SC. 2005. by CJ. Lahoti who later became CJ of SC.

However this was overturned by a ruling of a Muslim CJ of SC, Altamas Kabir who was well know for his anti-Hindutva agenda in 2009.

This ruling can change again. Only political expediency prevents the govt. from taking it up. Its not a pressing matter, when it becomes one, I have no doubt it will be taken up.

Though, I wasn't debating here in Religious Terms, but only in context to Pesudo Secularism. However, some people see everything from lenses of Religion.

Says the fool who claims and demands Religious exclusivity based on a political agenda  ..... I guess we all know who are the people who view everything from a lenses of Religion. LOL.

Sikhism formed in a location were Hinduism and islam were very dominant, so its not a surprise that Sikhism, islam and Hinduism have things in comman.

So now you are admitting that Sikhims is similar to Hinduism. Only you are making an additional claim that it is similar to islam too :P ..... now let us examine that in detail and expose your further.

Ok now to move the discussion along.

Sikhism has the concept of 5k’s which are very important to the sikh faith, islam has the concept of the 5 pillars.

LOL.......and I have 5 fingers and 5 toes .......Buddhism has 5 precepts, jews have 5 pointed star :cheesy:
Its like an argument for retards by retards.

5 K's in sikh are

1. Underwear
2. long hair
3. Comb
5. Bangle
6. Daggar

5 pillars of islam are ,

1. Declaring there is no god but allah
2. prayers 5 times a day
3. donate 2.5% of income to poor
4. fasting during ramzan
5. Hajj

 .....where is the similarity you Retard ?

Both Sikhism and islam believe in one supream god.

The concept of a universal supreme spirit is called Brahman and is as old as Rg Veda

Now compare this to the definition of Saguna Brahma as taught by Shankaracharya,

Brahman is the absolute Truth, the creator of the universe, self Existent (svyambhu), lord of the people (Prajapati), ruler and sustainer of the world (lokesa dhatr).

I would venture to say the god described in Sikhism fits the defintion of Brahman to a "T".

Also other text from the guru granth sahib has shown similarities with islam.
"In times of trouble, God is remembered by all
But none remembers Him during peace and happiness.
If God is remembered in good times of happiness
Why should trouble occur?" (guru granth sahib)

Now compare this with islam,

"When some trouble toucheth man,
He crieth unto his Lord,
Turning to Him in repentance:
But when He bestoweth
A favour upon him
As from Himself,
(Man) doth forget what he cried
And prayed for before,
And he doth set up
Rivals unto Allah."
[Al-Qur’an 39:8]

LOL. This is such a generic statement and so full of obvious facts that All religious books will state this in one form or another. Every book on human psychology will mention this fact.

Every primitive religion thinks of god as a king sitting on a throne dispensing "justice" :P ....... what do you think Indira does ? or yama ? or even Shani.

I have already explained what Prajapati and Lokes mean. Look it up again.

You do realize that this is SYMBOLIC and not to be taken LITERALLY. Or do you think there is an giant Alien super man with white beard who actually sits on a throne and passes judgement ? :P ...... like Zeus ? LOL.

Islam has many names for god, many of those names are shared with Sikhism, one of them even includes ‘allah’

He is Allah, the Unknowable, the Inaccessible, All-powerful and Merciful Creator. (guru granth sahib p64)

Sikhism says Sikhs refer to God as Waheguru, Akal Purakh and Oankar. Hindus call Him Ram, Christians call Him God and Muslims call Him Allah :cheesy:

This is nothing but Hinduism which says God is know by a million names "Sahasranama". It does not matter what you call him as long as your realize him.

Both Sikhism and islam strongly condem idol worshiping.

The Vedas do not have idol worship, the Arya samaj do not have idol worship, Mimamsa philosophy in Hinduism do not have idol worship, Samkhya path in Hinduism do not have idol worship

Only the Bhakti marga of Hinduism uses idol worship to realize god. Its part of Agama philosophy.

However Sikhs do have idol worship since you put the Book on a pedestal instead of a stone and worship it  .... hypocrisy much ? You even have priests to do the rituals. Very much like Hinduism, NOTHING like islam :P

There are many other aspects of similarities that I could go into which need more time and detail to go into and understand. Apart from all those mentioned both religions believe in good conduct, treating everyone with respect, being kind hearted, doing good deeds.

There is nothing to counter  ...... only exposing the ignorance of fools who think they know something while sitting on the lap of ignorance.

I haven't done - was just trying to be rational with Hindutvadi Troll who gets banned every other week and pops up with new ID'S and spill bigotiry :hitwall:

You think I am the only one in India who has clarity of thought ?
Were you the very same person, who have said that Virgin Mary and Magdalene Mary are same and called Jesus a %%%%??..
If you have no knowledge about other religions, why are you poking into others internal affairs unnecessarily??...You have no shame ,we know..But at least try to keep some distance from others
sentiments...

In a significant move, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar today allowed Shiromani Akali Dal’s Khadoor Sahib member Rattan Singh Ajnala’s private member Bill to amend Article 25 of the Constitution to meet the community’s pressing demand.

The Bill titled ‘Constitution Amendment Bill 2012’ seeks to drop Explanation II in Article 25, which — while guaranteeing a right to freely profess, practice and propagate religion — defines Sikhism, Jainism and Buddhism as components of the Hindu religion.

The Bill also refers to the recommendation to amend Article 25 along similar lines made by the National Commission on Review of the Constitution headed by former Chief Justice of India Justice MN Venkatachaliah during the NDA regime.

The Bill at hand is a constitutional amendment Bill and the second majority's bill moved as a private bill by Sikh MPs. The Anand Karaj Amendment Act was earlier moved as a private member’s Bill in Rajya Sabha by former MP Tarlochan Singh.

The Tribune, Chandigarh, India - Main News

Above goes the Religious Exclusivity and calling other Known Anti-Hindutvadi. This was promised to Sikhs when Gandhi's and Nehru's asked Sikhs to Join Indian Dominion. This is not that all of the sudden, some religious fanatics are asking for.:coffee:

I never ever claimed or mentioned on PDF that their aren't similarities between Hinduism and Sikhism. :shout:

I didn't make any posts in thread looking through the lenses of Religion. Was only debating on context of Secularism and was pointing out the Discrimination in Article 25's
sub clause. :lazy:

I was told following : 'The Only similarity I see with islam is your attempts to politicize religion'. I refrain myself from debating on Religion. I thought, I can educate the Member that Sikhism has Similarities with Hinduism and Islam and they all are Distinct Religion. However, this Time, Lord Marvarn didn't choose the Typical Sanskrit Name. Hence, I ended up replying to his post which I usually ignore and apply the following saying: 'Never to wrestle with Pigs. You both get dirty and Pigs like it'.

Once can find Similarities in almost all the Religious like Sikhism has with Hinduism and Islam. However, it doesn't make it the Cult variation of that Religion. :laughcry:
