Japan deploys first DOWNGRADED F-35

I guess f35 equal to j31.

Definitely f35 can't match j20.

No, I don't agree with this. Jet Fighter are not boxer or a kungfu master. You're not putting them into the ring to understand who has the bigger d*ck. In a battle, we can only say who has the more advantage to the other / adversary. Even if the F-22 is the best stealth Fighter, but it won't be able to beat a non Stealth Fighter like Flanker or J-10 if the condition doesn't allow it to win.

So we shouldn't compare them about who win, who's stronger, who's better, etc. Because non of them are right. This weapon can only be deadly if they are being used with the right strategy / method. At the end, it's always about who's the man behind the gun. It's depend on how the military use them to destroy the enemy.

When I was researching the issue years ago, those quotes were made by the people who originally posted the Canadian government documents. The website that existed years ago is defunct.

The analysis is in quotes, because I didn't make that logical reasoning. They did.

How persuasive :-)

What's the problem?

You can't read the Canadian government documents?

You want to refute the Australian government's claim of a beach-ball RCS, because it is twelve years old?

What exactly has happened in the last 12 years that would suddenly invalidate the Australian government's claim of a downgraded F-35?

The Canadian government's document is very clear. There is only a 95% improvement over a fourth-generation fighter. The RCS of an exported F-35 is about 0.25 m2 (which is the size of a beach ball).

The Australian and Canadian governments agree. Isn't that enough?
----------

This is a really easy calculation.

RCS of Mig-29 (a fourth-generation fighter) = 5 m2

The Canadian government says there is a 95% reduction in RCS for the exported F-35.

5 m2 x 0.05 = 0.25 m2 (which is a beach ball RCS)

The problem is because said quotes are being passed as "credible" on the basis of some internet poster said so? Of course not.

The Canadian paper says F-35A. Not "export version". US "downgrade" versions tend to have a different name, such as the J in F-15J. There's some Japanese gizmo inside that makes it different. Russia does the same with their "monkey versions". About this, why is this point being presented as a "America is evil point"? China would comfortably export their top versions of J-20, Type 99 tank, Type 52Ds?

The Canadian article also says "approximately 95%". Why do you omit "approximately"?

Why are the stealth ratings on globalsecurity so reliable? Did they get their hands on their own actual copy of the aircraft (while still in development) and use their on stealth testing facilities?

US Ambassador Schieffer promised Australia would have the best EXPORTED F-35 specifications

From the Australian government, we know the Australian F-35 has a beach ball-size RCS (0.15-0.25 m2).

The Canadian government has corroborated the Australian government's claim.

Now, I want to prove that the Japanese F-35 is not better than the Australian and Canadian F-35s.

According to former US Ambassador Schieffer, Australia will receive the BEST EXPORTED F-35. This means the Japanese F-35 cannot exceed the Australian F-35 in performance.

This makes sense. Australia is a white country and Japan is not. It would be extremely unusual if a FIVE EYES country (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and United States) received an exported F-35 inferior to a non-FIVE EYES country like Japan.
----------

US Ambassador Schieffer makes two points to the Parliament of Australia. Firstly, Australia will receive the BEST EXPORT version of the F-35. Secondly, the Australian F-35 is DIFFERENT from the American F-35.

JOINT STANDING COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS, DEFENCE AND TRADE | Parliament of Australia (June 21, 2004)

"Ambassador Schieffer —I think the joint strike fighter will be the best airplane that has been built and it will be without peer in the world. The fact that Australia is in the development stage of it will be extraordinarily beneficial to Australia in the long run. It gives you an airplane quicker than it would be if you were not in the development phase. It guarantees you that you will get the best airplane that is available to anybody. It also gives you the opportunity to have input into what kind of airplane it will be.

With regard to the stealth technology, the airplane that Australia will get will be the stealthiest airplane that anybody outside the United States can acquire. We have given assurances to Australia that we will give you the absolute maximum that we can with regard to that technology. Having said that, the airplane will not be exactly the same airplane as the United States will have. But it will be a stealth fighter; it will have stealth capabilities; and it will be at the highest level that anyone in the world has outside the United States."

Now you quote something from 2004, lol. You make a lot of funny post :-)

The negotiations between Australia and the United States to buy exported F-35s occurred in 2004.

After negotiations, everyone merely waits for delivery.

If I don't quote the US Ambassador's discussion with the Parliament of Australia then what am I supposed to quote?

For example, the negotiations for China's accession to the WTO occurred 15 years prior to 2001. The only time to quote Chinese negotiations for entering the WTO is during those years.

While Australia is waiting for delivery of its F-35s, nothing happens. The negotiations have already occurred.

The United States and Australia are NOT going to negotiate the purchase of exported F-35s every year. It only happens once. That was back in 2004. Hence, the discussions between US Ambassador Schieffer and the Parliament of Australia in 2004 are critical.

You're the cherry picker. I'm sure at least some people like the cherries you pick:-)

Let the big wars begun. Everthing thing will speak of herself and every development process will be accelerated by 100 times.

Three Strikes against Japan's F-35

Firstly, I've already pointed out that China's J-20 flies higher, faster, is more maneuverable laterally, has a larger radar, accelerates faster, and its missiles shoot further than an AMERICAN F-35. China's J-20 will have "look down shoot down" capability against an American F-35. China's J-20 will have "first detection" and "first kill" advantages against an American F-35.

Secondly, Japan is flying a downgraded export-version F-35. The EXPORT F-35 VARIANT has lesser stealth capability. Instead of a marble size RCS, the EXPORT F-35 VARIANT has a beach ball-size RCS. This makes the Japanese F-35 a lot easier to detect and kill.

Thirdly, the F-35 was never designed for an Asian war. It was designed for the short distances in a European War scenario. This means the Japanese F-35 will likely have to equip fuel drop-tanks, which will render the Japanese F-35 even less stealthy.

China's J-20 has a combat radius of 1,200 miles and does not need fuel drop-tanks. With a much shorter combat radius of 500-700 miles, the Japanese F-35 most likely needs fuel drop-tanks.

By looking at the map of Asia and the distance scale, it is obvious that the Japanese F-35 is not suited for the long-distance warfare in Asia.

As per the USAF Chief of staff, the F-35 wont be fighting alone. Its just one part of the system.

And rest assured, the US system is second to none.

The thread topic is Japan's downgraded F-35.

The thread topic is not "comprehensive system warfare between China and the US."

This is not a discussion of US strategy and China's A2/AD counter-strategy.

Does this mean the Israeli f35 are also downgraded? Is this why they want to buy additional f15I

Do you think any hot war between China and Japan would be limited to those 2 countries?

Lol. The Israelis will never get downgraded anything.

Yes, I think a war will be limited to China and Japan.

The US bases will be bombarded with missile attacks and the US will be knocked out of the war.

The US navy can be easily disabled with EMP strikes. Just a bunch of useless floating steel hulls in the ocean.

What can the US possibly do in response? Its logistics lines are 10,000 miles long. Reinforcement will always be months away.
----------

Israel is an exception. The US has granted Israel permission to modify its aircraft. Also, the US provides budgetary and technical support to Israel for the modifications.

Israel is in a privileged position, because it represents white people and their interests in the oil-rich Middle East.
