So he can do anything to protect his people.Yet he protected both officials and local natives (he also sees them as Indian).

People who do not know the history should learn it. It was not based only on the thoughts of an individual or bunch of individuals like Sir Syed Ahmad Khan who had closely observed the British take over and the communal rift starting between the Hindus and the Muslims, the congress govt post 1935 elections sealed the deal as they started implementing hindutva immediately, the Muslim students were forced to sing vandemataram and the whole school curriculum was getting revised to specifically target Muslims and thus further alienating them from the mainstream education system. And my sources are not just the books that may have been subjected to some state policy but the hair raising stories by my paternal and maternal grandparents who migrated into Pakistan leaving everything behind for a breathe of freedom and protect them from the hindu oppression that was to get institutionalised in India.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who was a liberal Muslim lawyer, educated in the England and wore English dress, joined congress first, was against AIML (All india Muslim League), then tried to act has a bridge between the two parties to bring Muslims and hindus on a single or unified platform for 7 whole years, realised that hindus who had hijacked the congress didn't want that. They were dreaming and planning for their rule over Muslims to avenge a thousand years of "slavery".

Deobandi Maulvis didn't understand this reality and they were against the creation of Pakistan even at that time due to certain reasons and one of the main reason is their funding. Zakir Naik belong to the same school of thought and thus this statement but to some extent I'm happy that he experiencing the same discrimination that the Muslims of British india under the congress govt had experienced. I hope this changes his mind.

Partition was the best thing to happen. But it would have been better if total exchange of population was done. I don't hate any religion.but I think practically. Only a very small insignificant minority of them. The vast majority of indian so called "Muslims" are more anti-Pakistani than even the sikhs and hindus are. Any way, to hell with the lot of them.
